I smoked it when I was a little punk.

My past experience would stop me in my tracks if someone tried to vape some coffee with me.

My mini portside is going kayaking with me tonight down the river, gunna enjoy me some 7fin tips with my new stash.

Why do I feel bambozelled to have to buy an entire VapCap to get a pink mouthpiece...

Good thing I don’t have to turn gay first, too. Or need a pink mouthpiece.

Frankly, I'm surprised at the depth of your skepticism. Why are you being so hard on me? Can you not take me at my word? Yes, I love my Vapcaps. But that didn't mean that my collection needs to continue to grow. I'm happy. I'm content.

Just a side note.... Wednesday, the Postmistress handed me a package containing a beautiful Ti tipped Damascus XLS.

Oh. And today I opened a little package from Greece....

    Salutations WineGums,

What for, 2 pages later the harvest proves most informative anyway, with ZERO answers and more "social" fanboyism now even tainted with homophobic content (e.g. out of arguments hate) - possibly from guys who must have been traumatized in durable fashion by some prison mates i figure...

Anyway my LAVA Hybrid Core boils down to a 3-parts KISS design promoting the "Shortest Path of Least Transformation", remember?? So i'm repeating once more, in case other instant-teachers would know:

IMHO recent determination to brush away these little details still reveals a lot.

    :sherlock:

The DynaVap, as it is, just ain't no "Bi-Energy" compatible concept i'm afraid: when torching its helix needs to be fully exposed while in IH-driven mode this same crucial component should be contained INSIDE heat-insulation material which shall prove as inert as GLASS under intense heating - or at least with minimal metal contact-surface to please the purists...

The preliminary DynaVap vs IH results related on FC so far sure appeared to indicate a need for 600 ~ 800 Watts IH driving, with plenty of wasting + hesitations right now - which is one more bad recipe for success or one other great way to continue preceeding sabotage work. At best i can only recommend any heat-retention body to slide inside the wand in IH mode, or simply wait for DynaVap to consider a specific IH version. If you fail seeing that then lets equally forget your higher standards calling for rocket science.

Welcome, brave warrior, to my [ IGNORE ] list. Now who wants to be next while i feel like paying attention despite the immense void dead ahead?...

    Good day, have fun!! :peace:

So I got either hand wash or dish soap in my Ti Woody and am seriously worried about vaping and inhaling that. Any tips beyond just replacing it?

Tempted to order a new one regardless but really torn between options. :\

If you're going to put people on your ignore list, please just do it without fanfare and don't announce it publicly along with threats of more. It's kinda rude, man. :disgust:

Dish soap should come off easily. Vapcaps are pretty tough and are easily cleaned.

Dismantle your Ti Woody by removing the cap and then the Ti tip from the stemwith a twist and pull motion, no rocking, pull straight out. Use the digger outer on the cap to push out the condenser. Rinse all the soap laden pieces with warm running water until they are clean and then dry all the components completely. If you had to wash soap off of the wood stem, dry it carefully and the rub on and buff off some wood conditioner. If your Vapcap got a lot of soap on it you might want to remove the orings to get at all the doap.

    Once everything is dry, reassemble.

Here are some faqs that provide proper oring placement and reassembly info.

So a good rinse should be enough to avoid inhaling something super toxic? In that case, glad I didn't toss it. I've disassembled it before for a good cleaning, but I appreciate the detailed instructions.

Was sad to see the Cocobolo not being used, but the pre-2018 M wasn't doing too badly. Still think I should treat myself to something shiny, though. ;)

Black wood looks pretty great. Would like to see it in a stem instead of just body.

Was going to get an OG vapcap, but since getting my @DDave custom, I feel like I already basically have one... might still get one just to round out the collection.

Pink mouthpiece is cool but not for me. If they bring back some of the other colors I’ll bite. I wish i’d gotten the rainbow one. Might attempt to annodize my omni.

Received my water wand from DDave but have not had a chance to try it out yet. The tip looks like a good fit. I just need some product to test it out. Will be taking care of that shortly :)

I was sent a glass body with my omnivap (I had the bux and it was Inauguration Day)

Frankly, I had no clear idea what to do with it, and broke it in the process of puzzling with it. Wouldn’t mind trying it again, now that I know something.

Squiby, those are exquisite! You are lucky, have great taste, and spending money.

Either one will wash off, so it’s not a problem unless you fear some kind of contamination, in which case, rest easy!

For one thing, the body is NOT in the vapor path. For another thing, the entire thing can be broken down right to the o-rings and scrub them with a toothbrush if that’s what it would take. Clean as a whistle, washed and dried. Speaking of which, DO NOT, please, WASH the wooden body. Letting the wood soak up any water (even a very, very little amount) can cause the wood to warp and / or crack.

You keep posting like this, moaning all melancholic about your poor pearls and us swine...and then you take turns dunking each and every person who attempts a response, moaning again about your gaping void of disappointment. And you expect to be taken seriously. As a genius. On the basis of posts that are gibberish without the decoder ring. Posts filled with jargon, not an explanation of any of it in sight, complete with 27 full color illustrations that have no legend with them (legend: in this context, it refers to the addendum showing what is being displayed by the chart, diagram, illustration, and on what scale).

I’ve developed a few disciplines in my years, and have faced the challenges of bringing someone else up to speed in order to train them, and MOST of those were me learning how I put people off and alienated them rather than informing them or training them (the point). I’m sure you won’t take that as a valuable hint but you should.

One of the big obstacles was having to learn how to interpret the way I thought of things for the people I wanted to work with, and that meant mapping out how I used language in my head when I was creating, so that I could connect it with the experiences of those people; that way I could make it relatable in terms they were already familiar with. There’s another valuable hint.

I only go into this depth because it’s an effort I expect of myself, to try and help people who are clearly creating the problems they project onto others. You seem to be genuinely intelligent so I’m speaking to you plain. You will not get ANYTHING you want this way - here, elsewhere, in life generally. You will not get assistance, you will not get friends, you will not get investors, you will not get customers, you will not get employees.

What you will get is angrier. More frustrated. More bitter. Frankly, more unlikeable.

Why am I bringing all this to you?

Because you’re doing this in public. Specifically, you are presenting as a smug, condescending, melodramatic dick. You’re not trying to enter the conversation, you don’t care, expressly, about the conversation, and you’re not trying to get us engaged in your ideas. You’re waving your ass and your pomposity and your bilious viewpoints at the people you encounter here. You didn’t ask if you could, didn’t build up a little personal cred by hanging around and not being a dick for awhile, didn’t gauge reactions.

THIS IS NOT YOUR LIVING ROOM.
I DON’T CARE IF YOU'VE BEEN HERE SINCE JESUS, THIS IS NOT YOUR LIVING ROOM.

If you don’t like being treated civilly, if you have no patience for our lack of intuition, if you feel your genius deserves a better audience, GO FIND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Welcome to MY ignore list, hotshot.

Stu, I’m ready for my ban now.

I'm not going to ban you. You brought up some very valid points but you do deserve a warning point for crossing the line and getting personal and I will apply it now.

Let's keep it civil folks. We are here to have fun and learn. Personal insults are not my idea of fun, so please report any posts that you find rule-breaking and leave it to the staff to deal with. The ignore feature is available for all to use if they find a member to be too difficult to deal with. Feel free to use it.

    Thank you.

I am just glad I got put on somebody`s list, I never got picked for anything at school.

I would just like to say thank you to Christina:love: at Dynavap, I ordered a few items during the last sale and a couple of items were sent incorrectly. I received a Ti tip instead of the s/s that I ordered and I got a stash that had a puck(not their fault, the listing changed for the sale and I did not notice).
Christina offered to send me the correct items but I said the ones I got have been used, she said to keep them also!
I decided to get really cheeky and asked if she could just send me a cap for the Ti tip and could I have a Ti XL body/stem instead of the stash, she said no worries, they are in the mail.
I got the items yesterday and have to say the Ti body is great at not getting my fingers burnt when using for multiple back to back heat cycles.:haw:

what's the susceptor weight. ... what's the IH power* output.

Titanium grade 2 ( Dynavap tips are made of ) has a Specific heat capacity of
    0.523 J/ gr °C .

    http://asm.matweb.com/search/SpecificMaterial.asp?bassnum=MTU020

The average mass of a Ti tip is 3 grams.

Assuming that the ambient temperature is 25°C and we want to bring
the WHOLE tip (which is never the case ) to the temperature of 230°C
    The temperature difference is 230-25 = 205 °C .

So ,a three gram Ti tip that needs it's temperature to rise 205°C above the ambient will
    require 0.523 J/ gr °C * 205 °C * 3 gr = ~ 321.6 Joules of energy .

    * Power = supplied energy per time unit .
    ( 1 Watt = 1 Joule per second )

Hard guessing / estimating the electrical effieciency of an IH device to be 75% ( 0.75 ) .
Actually it may be higher ,but never mind .Let us use a quite conservative figure .
    https://ultraflexpower.com/learn-about-induction-heating/efficiency-of-induction-heating/

If we need to bring the WHOLE Ti tip to the temperature of 230°C in just one second ( ! )
    then we need a IH device with an electrical power of : 321.6 J / sec / 0.75 = 428 .8 Watts

Still some may find that a heating time of five seconds is not that bad actually .
Then the electrical power of the induction heating device needed is just 85.76 Watts .
A well respected member of this forum already builds IH devices at that " plug power " range
( 50 - 100 Watts ),that they seem to do the job just fine .
    http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/v...ktop-and-in-car-use.23211/page-2#post-1053456

    Notes :
    - But of course there might be a few "weirdos" that would prefer their VC to be heated in just half a sec ( within 500 milliseconds ) .Then yes ,a IH unit with an electrical power of ~ 1KW ( aka 1000 Watts ) would be more appropriate for this - rather unusual - case .

    - The mass of the herbal or resin load and it's specific heat capacity ,
should be accounted also ,for more accurate results.

    - The actual mass of the tip being heated is less than 3 grams-due to Titanium's low heat conduction within the material ,but also the mass ( ~ 0.8 gr ) and the SHC of the cap ,
should be accounted for more accurate results .
    http://asm.matweb.com/search/SpecificMaterial.asp?bassnum=mq304a

    - The practical temperature difference of the tip is below 200 C,while real life vaporizing.
It should fall within the range of 150 to 180 Celcious.

    - Electrical effieciency of IH devices is close to 90% or even higher.

    - As a rough "rule of thumb " a loaded VapCap tip with it's cap on ,
it needs ~ 300 Joules of energy whether it's E/M radiation or heat from a bare flame ,
cold -starting from ambient temp until the cap clicks ,with fresh load
    .

    :2c:
    Cheers.
