They will be available to order once the Dynavap live starts tonight at 6pm central

Greetings everyone.

Thank you for the interest in the limited edition 7 fin tip. We put some thought into how to make an interesting version incorporating some of what we have learned since we last made them and this is what it looks like.

7%20Fin%20Tip_zpspefhkubt.png

It might look like the fins are a bit uneven, but this is because the helical grooves from the extraction chamber now run all the way across the fins to the orings. This provides a rather interesting appearance when you spin it. I'll try to show this tomorrow on the live feed as well as more info on the other details.

It will also be available for purchase beginning shortly after the show begins. In addition, we will have the spinning Titanium mouthpieces on sale.
I'm posting on this thread and not on the main thread so it is those of you who pushed this idea forward will know first before any one else.
Also, we did have some difficulty making these tips with some tools breaking, and programming challenges. So we weren't able to make as many as we were hoping before we needed to swap the machine out to another part.
That said, it might be nice to only buy one, so more people can get one, at least for a day or so. These won't ship for at least a week, and possibly up to two weeks, so if there are any left after a day or two, I'll let you know here on this thread, and they will be easy to add to your open order without incurring any additional shipping costs.
We plan to take these off the website after 12 hour sale (6am Central time) or even earlier depending on how quick these go to make sure we have enough to fill all of our orders. We will put them back up when we know for sure how many are left.
Last, I hope I won't offend anyone here by raising the price for these 7 fin tips to $45 as we have a limited number of them, and they took much longer to design, program and machine than anticipated.
If it helps, we will be offering the spinning Titanium mouthpieces on sale once the broadcast begins with free shipping. These will be discounted from $30 to $24 for 12 hours.

Thank you again for all the awesome feedback and support!

Somebody has any idea to substitute degummed hemp fiber for filtration in the cap?

When purchasing my "starter kit" there was no hemp fiber in the store so I just left it out from the basket.
I tried now a slice of a cigarette filter but the material became hard so I dont think it is healthy to put it there, also I felt it when inhaling the vape. This was just to substitute the hemp fiber which I dpnt have.

The vapcap M is fantastic, I had the opportunity to test a bit more with it and I really like it.
Best portable vape for me for sure.

The slice of the cigarette filter worked great for a while, even a draw was a bit restricted because of it what increased the amount of visible vapor so I'd like to find something that could serve me for this reason. :)

Any idea?

edit- nevermind, i see this thread grows so fast that your question was answered long ago..

Greetings!

Live feed tonight at 6pm Central time. I'm really looking forward to this one. Last week was a blast! We had more views than ever before, and it was awesome to see everyone checking in and sharing where they were from. It sure is invigorating to see how these little devices are beginning to spread across our pale blue dot. :)

So to bring everyone up to speed, in about 6 hours, the 7 fin tips pictured below will be available for purchase. It has a bit more intricate design with a full length triple helix beginning at the machined apertures of the extraction chamber, intersecting all 7 of the fins and ending at the O-rings. This is why it has a bit of a crankshaft type appearance from this angle.

And another angle

I feel it important to thank @Summer for all the effort and coordination in making this tip happen. It was a very interesting thing to see someone begin a thread regarding the production of a custom piece for the VapCap, and how much activity followed.
When I see this, it becomes easy to allocate the time and resources to accommodate the awesome customers who so graciously support my little project to help bring smoking to an overdue end. It makes me feel better knowing that every time another device goes out the door, there should be a pair of lungs somewhere out there smiling. :)

So, please do let me know what you would like to see, or see changed. Make a thread, suggestion, or just let us know.

I will also be showing the new spinning Titanium mouthpiece tonight so please check it out along with the details on the silver mouthpieces. Send me a message, let me know where you're at, and or just leave a comment or ask a question.

Thank you,

George

Oiy! I'm gonna need an interpreter. Have to keep remembering that google is my friend.

That is truly an admirable sentiment, George.

@VapCap & @Summer Holy crap! Does this mean that both the SE Spinning Ti mouthpiece AND SE 7-fin tip will be available for us after tonight?! Will we be contacted by email, and proceed in an orderly fashion? Or shall we descend into a frantic consumerist frenzy after George's global broadcast?

I've no interest in joining the fray if tomorrow morning (UK time) I can get the one-of-each I requested. Those shiny new tips look so good on the Omni body/stem! Can't wait to see it IRL!

Wish the fins were not cut into, looks like someone made a boo-boo, to me;
but, as a majority of one, I concede to the mind of the crowd collective. :2c:
Why not? Don't the grooved fins give less draw resistance? and it looks kinda cool, funky. kind of want one, but too broke atm
though it sucks that it was so difficult to machine that it caused problems. and people just wanted the old style tips?

Just got my “m” in the mail...I’ve only been checking it every hour or so :D

I’m so excited to try it out as this will be my first “vaping” experience!

I’ve been reading all through this thread (haven’t made it through all 1000 pages though), as well as others. I have learned a lot!

Any quick tips on “what to do” or more important “what NOT to do” for your very first time. I have a single, double, and triple torch. I also have hemp fiber from VC.

Basically if you could do it over how would you “start out?”

I like my old, used 4th Gen 7-fin tip.

You're not a majority of one, there are more of us out there. :ninja:

I feel that shaving a millimeter (or even less) off the entire circumference of the last fin or two closest to the bowl would allow air to pass under the cap and look better than cutting into the fins. But that's just me... who knows, others might think the opposite!

Love that hive mentality!

To me, I am but a majority of one (but treat me lightly, I am but wispy aether,
with a humming evanescence of a VapCap baked mind).

Hmm, wonder if there are ones without fins sliced into. It’s all about aesthetics, in my wasteland.

You'll have to join the fray......as of yesterday our expectations were changed. Which, for an as yet fully identified reason, is bugging the shit out of me. Mainly 'cause I can never catch the live stream in real time.

^ @asdf420 upon re-reading George's post, I realised the answer to my question was there: he says that they'll be up on the site tonight. So perhaps you don't need to worry about missing out! Instead of a one run and done limited edition, it appears this 7-fin tip may just become another LEGO piece in the store?! That would be cool! Or is that me reading too much into it?

@passenger my hope is that the spinning Ti mp would also become a regular store option! However limited edition it may be?? Then imagine if one unscrupulous person (looking at you @stark1 ) bought the entire run and then auctions off one a month to finance his lavish lifestyle?! Sure you LOL, but it could happen. Then what?! As long as I have one set aside for a @stardustsailor creation, I'm good.

But what about the future VapCappers? Those wretched combusters who haven't yet heard the good word of DynaVap, those who have yet to experience the VapCap magic? Shouldn't they too be allowed to have a spinning titanium mouthpiece? Maybe not. Maybe they should have fucked combustion a bit sooner; maybe that's the price they pay, to know that they will never have a chance to be as cool as we are.

Dang it @stark1 now you've got me wondering about the fins! I think I prefer the look of regular fins, can the cut-into fins deliver a different/better experience to the uncut fins? Don'tcha think the DynaTeam ran "tests" with various variations of variety in regards to fins? I doubt that it looks like it does just because? But I know nothing! Except I would love to be on the tip testing team!! BTW, can you please turn down your evanescence a titch? Its humming is setting off my tinnitus. That's better, thank you sir!

EDIT: @mucsusn I've been whacked out lately and not keeping up here like I should so I didn't know that anything was announced yesterday. Thanks, I'll have to go back and check. Peace!

They could've just made simple grooves perpendicular to the fins (like at the top of the tip) in an alternating fashion so there's still turbulence or.. something? Should be easier to machine? Still too ugly? lol

Wonder if it is even possible to buy a sterling, I mean, silver mouthpiece, not to think what
it will cost!

Fuck me silly, there goes my entire slush fund, tip, spinning mouthpiece, and ster-, err,
silver first born mouthpiece!

These Thursday flash sales are giving me glares from my exhausted piggy. Has me spinning.

Anyone happen to know if the outside of the condenser gets hot from the vapor traveling through it.

Broke my two day old Omni XL condenser, the ring with the threads on it slipped of the condenser. Dynavap is on it sending me a new one, good on them. But I really liked the Omni vapor and want more. Thinking a fix with some electrical tape or super glue, only I do not want to be vaporizing that stuff.

Thoughts?

@stark1 like the stem in the Mini, nice find.
I found the right size tube to make silver condensers and some 8mm bore tube for bodies, it's not that expensive.

For me the 7 fin square cut is the best looking tip @VapCap have produced and I prefer the rounded groove bottoms of a 5 fin that was pictured a while ago.

Aesthetically the LE tip, again for me, falls short.
There may be a reason behind the helical grooves thru all the fins but I'm not seeing how the current set up would benefit from it.

How about a bit of stem porn before George keeps me up late.
