To follow up it was more my technique that made a difference. If you strugle to finish completely a bowl and are affraid of combusting if raising watts or temp a huge boosting tip is to do little interrupted and repeted half second draws. This gets some steam when you think there isn't any left. This way I finish at 220 instead of 230. Closing the airflow raises the temp also of course. I am having good results in tc with the same clapton wire single coil this time. Waiting for some 20 and 22 awg wire to try to get a non glowing ss setup.
But I already know this vape rips and isn't getting enough credit compared to similar steel base ecig coils vapes that don't have both cover chamber and stem chamber options. Plus the cover chamber is even better!

Sorry guess the widest part of them. Wonder if they will fit on a witcher mod or maybe on the movkin disguiser mod?

A bit disapointed with my 20 awg ss wire. 2*7 wraps 0.1 and something it glows at least as fast as a standard clapton. Missing something here... @HerbieVonVapster any idea on this?

Maybe herbie isn't the coil specialist after a little search. Hope to find this non gglowwing ss setup one day maybe some nice ideas on the stempod thread.
Back to super effective kanthal wattage with this beautiful setup :

Popping in to say that the P80 is only about $26 with coupon at vaporL right now but shipping from Hong Kong in red or blue. Myvaporstore has black, but it comes to like $33 with shipping though I think that one is in the US at least

Dear Glow users,

I'm on the hunt for a new vaporizer to use outside my house and was thinking about a Fury 2. Other forum members suggested vapes like the Lil Bud. An all convection vape is, like a pocketable battery powered vape, not in my line-up. A few questions:

- is the Glow more or less pocketable with the little wooden mouthpiece and a little mod?

- How's the vapor with the wooden mouthpiece? I'm not a cloud chaser, but I like vapor that's not harsh and not too warm.

- I read on the website from @Dreamwood that the user needs some experience with electronics. Would you recommend the Glow for a clumsy box mod noob like me?

I own the Dobby, Punch and Roasty and like them all, I'm very curious about the Glow :)

Hey, first thing you don't need any expiriance in electronics you just need a regulated boxmod and a glow. I would suggest the RCV18 I think the vapor is a little bit cooler in the 18 compared to the 14.

Here you can see the rev 14 and 18 on different mods and the 18 with the cooling glass mouthpiece is a blast..

If you like the punch you will love the glow

@Dutch-Mic The glow 14 with wood mouthpiece is one of my favorites because its very portable it can hit like a truck, has good strong taste is easy to stirr (and doesn't need much stirring) and vapes evenly. But I wouldnt qualify it as smooth...

Thanks for the responses!

If I understand you both correctly, then the trade off is between cooler vapor (18) and pocketability (14). I prefer lower temps during the days. I know harshness is terribly subjective, but would you consider the vapor smoother on low temps?

The glows in the picture look stunning @wisausnk!

Thx
The 18 is not really bigger it's minimal as you can see in the picture. At the end the mouthpiece decides the harshness, long mouthpiece less harsh. But the 14 is definitely harsher.

And you regulate the glow with Wattage and draw speed but you know that from the punch.. not temp at least in the configuration its ment to be.

The 18 had the bowl in the mouthpiece and the 14 in the body.

Ah there was an error in my thinking, forgot that you don't choose a fixed temperature with adjusting the wattage. Indeed a close experience to the Dobby/Punch then!

My mind is made up: going for a Glow. Next quest: box mods!

You won't regret it, boxmod is to your preference I would suggest at least 2x18650 so you set for a few days without charging, but that's me. You can use any 510 regulated boxmod that can at least power 70-80w
