I want to gauge how common this is, I assumed everybody gets this but maybe not. Do you notice an increase in mucus/phlegm from frequent vaping?

Feel free to also post if you mostly use flowers vs concentrates.

My experience has been that I get mucus sometimes. Typically with flowers at higher temperatures, especially with devices that are not water filtered. I have had it on distillate pens, portable dry herb vapes, desktop dry herb vapes, but I have noticed less mucus with lower temp concentrate use or lower temp flower bowls through a water tool with high diffusion.

I haven't been sick in over 3 years, so I never get congested. Can't expectorate what you don't have? :D

I vape everyday and vaping does not increase my mucus or discomfort of any kind at all.

If I'm congested vaping defiantly loosens things up but I have not noticed an increase in mucus at other times.

when I vape, I feel it in my throat, chest and lungs and almost always cough up something clear.
Sometimes it just feels like something at the top of my lungs, but it won't shift

I'm here, just observing the results before I make any assumptions. Yesterday it was a staggering 75%+ who experience increased mucus very frequently or more. Today it's balancing out to more like 50% so I don't really know how this poll will pan out.

But how do your lungs clean out accumulated condensed cannabis resins if you don't experience any congestion whatsoever? That would mean all that sticly gunk from vaporizing is stuck in your lungs without the mucosal membrane lining to protect and eject it?

Haha, I know just having fun! :lol:My new role is an ambassador for truth, peace, harmony and togetherness, seeing as these are my strengths and gifts in life and I am truly an odd shoe in this place and am more of a distraction than an asset, so I might as well be a distraction in a good way right?

Call me a community spirit officer/agent (not decided on the right job description yet.)

I also am amazed, astounded to think of how @biohacker NEVER experiences mucus! It almost hurts to feel so stuck at the far end of the spectrum, seeing how others can take so much more enjoyment of certain things while I suffer to the heavens and draw on unimaginable resilience just to keep going.

I dont mean that in an envious sense at all btw. But it sure makes me think- WOW! Our bodies can be so different. Damn I just wish I could do a factory reset because my body, lungs, immune system... just shouldn't be behaving like this. It isn't natural and is so impossible up until now to deal with and correct, and at times I can get into a desperate frame of mind and struggle to keep focus and accept my lot.

I have been through such a patch mentally just recently due to the multiple consecutive viruses the last 6 weeks, not getting enough relief in between before the next round of torture.

Today maybe could be the start of a downhill slope, but fingers crossed I badly need a smoother ride for a while.

Now- Elev8r coming right up for first vapor today.

Well, first of all I personally don't feel that there is an accumulation of condensed cannabis resins in my lungs. Today is day 7 of my break/cleanse and what I can say is every single time i've abstained for more than 4-5 days, I get a DRY type of hack cough infrequently, usually after showering. Perhaps it's the paralyzed cilia coming back to life? Only lasts a day or two, and it's just a few hard coughs, never productive, always dry. Today i'm like a new person, slept a full 7.5hours and completely mentally CLEAR. This is the first day of that. Fortunately my d-nail sic halo lands today, unfortunately my coil doesn't land until tomorrow!

Perhaps it may have also something to do with immune systems? I'm also a pretty high level athlete so my lungs are in top shape. So many variables. But you very well know that I have issues with other things with vapour, and have completely abandoned flowers a while ago. This withdrawal has been a breeze coming off of rosin vs flower. With flower I could literally smell kush in my sweat! Anyways!

@Alexis bro with your issues I would abstain completely for like 3-6 months but that's just me. With all your infections, mucus, etc. I wouldn't touch any vaporizer, ESPECIALLY with your sensitivities. Although I do feel the elev8tr works for you due to incredible airflow and potentially for cooler vapour. I do think it's a heat thing, similar to my intolerance of very same vapes you don't tolerate (save for the sv3 :brow:).

I also nominate @Alexis for a new forum MOD!! Then again, you're way too nice of a mate!

Check out my results a few months back from trying a tissue filter over the mouthpiece of my water pipe after @shredder brought this simple test to my attention. That was from a single hit.

You're comparing living lung tissue to tissue paper? I get your point, but again I don't think there is any accumulation or build up of anything on my lungs. Again, many variables... i'm a runner, do wim hof method breathing... i'm certain it all helps. It definitely helps me not get sick nor get mucus! :D

I'm not comparing the filter to my lungs at all, I'm demonstrating the effects of condensed vapor. Much respect to your regiments but I don't really see how exercise can compensate for a substances ability to change phases? I'm just wondering where you think condensed vapor in your body goes? Is there a certain amount of physical activity one could do where vapor stays aerosolized in the lungs and never condenses? Condensation is based on temperature fluctuation so I don't really see the connection.

@biohacker you're absolutely right, I SHOULD abstain from vaporizing, generally though. Not just for a specific period with any set goal in mind as such. More of a lifestyle thing- until further notice. It honestly takes only a day or 36 hours for the effects of my cannabis allergy to completely wear off with no discernible trace of bother from it. Then normal routine with the same level of reactions/mucus to food and everything else.

But take my vapor away and I just have never been able to keep focused and motivated with the craziness of it all (allergies, mucus, infections etc). It keeps me going and motivated, and I do honesly truly believe that my overall bodily health is strongly supported to minimaisd the damage from Lyme, viruses etc and just about keep most things in good check despite the extremity of the problems/symptoms.

I have potential to be very well indeed if order can come out of disorder, and I swear my cannabis has protected and supported me through these years and kept any real problems away beyond the immune dsyfunction and all, which cannabis alledgedly helps to regulate.
I foolishly suffer for it with extra symptom management and could certainly make my life simpler in some ways.

So Im just not motivated to have an extended vapor break. I used to vape a lot less, have frequent extended breaks up to 3 months at most, but light and intermittent between due to no supply and I hadn't learnt to manage my symptoms so well back then to make vaporizing more viable. But I still had to suffer the same issues, but in misery and my depression would become increasingly harmful.
However I am much closer to being well now and I'm going in the right direction, when I feel ore well it automatically become easier to see a path forward and everything changes with the click of a finger it's quite remarkable.
So who knows what will come just one day at a time, staying focused and as happy as can be.

Shit sorry guys, Im having a good day today. Had my Elev8r, really stoned and just going down to cook basmati rice and courgettes with some haddock and green olives. I realise I cannot make any sense just now. Should I even post this now or just delete?:hmm:

Well first, I don't feel that the vapour just "condenses" and stays there. I feel that the lungs absorb and cleanse. And this is where physical activity comes into play..... I feel that my running and healthy and active lifestyle speed up the process. As does time away from vaping. Surely if you chain vape all day and don't do any exercise and never "get ahead of the ball", perhaps there will be a struggle for the lungs to keep on top of things, and perhaps that's why some are getting mucus? I also think my deep breathing exercises (especially IN nature) assist in this process as well.

At what temp do you think that the vapour hits our lungs?
