Not sure, maybe turn the heat up a bit?

My frosted glass piece broke, the Ti fits perfectly in og glass wand so that's what I'm using now. Clouds are huge at 1:00, which might be a bit hot for me. ABV is perfectly even, all I do is drop a couple of pinches into it and very lightly tamp down once or twice to keep it in place. I'm getting huge clouds with the Ti.

I tried twice more, I fill it the same way you do, but no clouds and I turned up to almost 3 o'clock. I typically have it on about 1 or 1:30 with the OG glass and get billowing clouds of vapor.

    Into the drawer it goes.

One thing I have noticed is that the ditanium with Ti is not a sipper but a ripper. Harder pulls seem to produce more vapor.

Other factors could include, difference in herb dryness, new screens sometimes allow more airflow and less vapor.

It's not the herb, that's for sure, since it was from the exact same grind and container. It's no big deal, other than I pissed away $75. The OG glass handle works a dream. I'll stick with that, and torch the screen to clean it as is needed.

    ...hello everyone
After i inadvertantly knocked the screen outta the glass handpiece and got too frustrated trying to replace it i started using the Ti...
I do prefer the Ti for a few reasons over the glass except the screen clogging after each session.
I torched them and soaked them and all that but in the end i just picked up a pack of 500 identical SS screens for like 3 bucks...now i just put a new screen in every use.
One other thing i did was replace the knob w/ a 7th floor ssv custom...they fit perfect...and give it a "heady" look...albiet completely black...as is the unit in my case.
Also,...When you find your sweet spot on the knob carefully pull it off and put it back on w/ its directional mark at noon...this way when you put it at noon thereafter it will always be in your spot.
Its a powerful unit that yields great results...its simple and small and works incredibly well thru water milking up anything i use.
    Good stuff

Has anyone taken apart the he nail to clean it? I see something in the instructions about it, but it doesn't seem like it comes off easy and I don't want to break it.

Because it's Ti, it threads a little rough, but it does come apart. I hold the base of the shaft with two fingers while I loosen or tighten either of the parts that screw apart.

I haven't found either of the Ti pieces to need much cleaning, the quartz on the other hand I soak in ISO to clean anything that didn't burn off.

Sat folding clothes last night with my DT next to me with the glass wand so I could load a little more more. Did a few stacked in the middle, but I think they were a touch hot. This thing has killed my tolerance! It just kept pumping out clouds on demand!

I really appreciate the simplicity of this unit and being able to leave it turned on for hours ready

Thank you. Which parts screw off? I'm guessing from the instructions, the whole Ti piece doesn't come off, though it looks like it implies that, I would twist off the Ti output piece that the whip connects to, then the nail rim and hen the quartz nail?

I am really loving this unit for home. The double decker sends me to space ad I already have a high tolerance. I love the flavor and the vapor from both dabs and flower. I think I may like it better than the vapexhale.

On the base unit, both the male 14mm nose and the large shield unscrew and come off, in that order, this gives you access to the bowl for cleaning or replacing.

For the Ti side of the handle, the full piece

Unscrews in the middle to become two pieces

    and

This gives you access to cleaning and replacing the screen.

Such a simple, efficient unit. I really enjoy mine.

    Thank you MonkeyTime,
:( Alas, it was really hard getting piece 1 off, but I got it, then getting piece 2 off, I could not separate it from the ribs, so it never came off, but during this process the quartz nail cover for the pin fell off, probably in my attempt to unscrew part #2.
I still haven't got part #2 off, and now I have a titanium that isn't in service :(
    I loved this thing.

Can you not get it back together again @BluePhr3ak ?
Put the quartz piece back on the nail, screw in that retainer piece, then put the output piece back on. Done. No? Where did it go bad?

The quartz part broke, the par that covers the pin broke off. I was really putting a lot of tension in trying to get piece #2 unscrewed. I landed up pulling off the ceramic part that is hollow that houses the eramic pin. I can put that piece back on, but it came out while I was trying to get piece #2 off. I'm in contact with support and they are being cool with giving me options for a discount on a nail replacement and a good deal on repairing it where I pay shipping, but I would need o buy the nail regardless..not upset about that, just trying to see the least expensive way out. I just bought this baby and got it on July 10th. My favorite thus far. Support claimed hat they send I only hand tight and I doubt mine was sent that way because I tried tp pull her apart before first use and though I might break it because nothing was loose enough to the hand..then I thought I would work it out later, perhaps it needed o be heard and never had it easy to loosen ever. Miss using I already...now on my ExtremeQ and my Quartz nail with a coil until I get this resoled.

These people are awesome at Ditanium..I broke my shit and they fixed it in great time and didn't charge me a ridiculous fee. I'm back in operation, I can take it apart to clean when I need to now. I love this little box!

Going on four months using my Ditanium almost daily and I love this device. Top tier vapor quality and production. I haven't had a problem with side loading or the glass handpiece falling off, and got use to the tiny mark on the dial. I clean the handpiece and whip periodically and havent felt the need to replace the latter. The main gripe I have is the screen in the handpiece getting clogged. I feel like I need to stir and scrape the screen with my poker after like every hit. I know I've read people mentioning the same issue. Would a fixed glass screen solve this problem?

May be picking one of these badboys up thanks to this community. Ive been seeing this for a while and at first I was like big deal its a old-school boxvape you can dab off of. But now seeing the build of the parts closest to the heater im def more intrested. The concept is simple yet brilliant. And also noticing now its smaller than I previously thought. I'm a little bothered that i didnt give this vape more piece of mind at first. Kinda just reminded me of my first tabletop box. Hopefully I can grab one eventually to make up for lost time. I know there really not comparable hows this go up agains a flowerpot

Hi all, this is my first post on this site. I wanted to share my experience.

I just received a Ditanium from PuffItUp yesterday. All the reviews on YouTube sold me on it. Zakk with PIU said in an email that it was a fantastic choice for what my needs were.

My first two sessions last night did go go as I was expecting. I let the unit heat up for an hour at max temperature to burn off factory oils. Turned the unit off for a bit, then after half hour turned it on to the 12 o'clock position. I waited for about 10 minutes for the unit to heat up, then packed about two CBD flowers ground up with the TREES grinder along with the titanium rod included from PIU. The first hit tasted really good (I had no idea why I kept seeing this commonly referred to in reviews) but I had no vapor in the first hit. Second hit produced a minor amount of vapor. The third hit produced a moderate vape, but still no where near the visuals I had seen on YouTube reviews.

I did take the whip off in between and stir around, but each time it seemed like the vapor was getting less and less. All in all, I was able to get about 3 moderate sized vapes before the flower started giving off a burnt popcorn taste.

I plan to try it again tonight. I really want to like this unit, and I'm hoping it's something I'm doing wrong. From my first impression, I was really underwhelmed. I plan to try the unit set at max temperature and try to inhale harder to see if that helps. My first session last night was about 12 o'clock, and the second session about an hour later I had the temperature set closer to 2.

My only other experience up to this point has been with a traditional water bong which has given strong (if not harsh) results. I'm kind of disappointed because it used up a lot more flower than what I traditionally used with a water bong, and the result was no where near as effective. On the Ditanium, my first session was with about 1/2 of the clear glass packed, and the second session had the clear glass part all the way full.

I emailed Zakk last night with my experience, I'm curious to see what his thoughts are. He mentioned PIU recently did an Instagram special with Ditanium. I'm about to search for that in a few minutes to see if there's anything that could help me out there.

@Project_Libitina, sorry to hear about the less than optimal experience so far with the Ditanium. I find the biggest factors with vaping and visible vapor cloud production include the following general inputs/considerations:

    a) the quality of the flower. I have quality flower that is very impressive with visible vapor and average flower that doesn't show much visible vapor until large amounts are used;

    b) the amount of flower used. The more the better for big visible vapor production. And low amounts may only produce light visible cloud vapor for a few draws;

    c) the extraction efficiency of the vape. Some vapes are better than others and there may be an issue/problem with a particular unit; and

    d) the temperature used. Higher temps will extract more from fresh flower for bigger clouds but over multiple draws it can be at the expense of taste degradation.

FWIW, I've been able to consistently produce visible clouds microdosing 0.05 g of "high quality" flower at 320 F in the first few draws from a different premium vape. Doing that with average flower I've seen no vapor on exhale.

Have you tested these factors in the same ways (i.e., using the same flower batch, amount and vape temps) with another vape to see how it goes compared to your Ditanium unit? And how did the AVB look from your Ditanium use? Light, medium or dark brown?

Good luck with the testing and evaluation. Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate the response/advice. I haven't tried my current CBD flower batch with any other vape device yet. The Ditanium is my first dry herb vaping device.

I'm going to try it tonight with a higher temperature setting to see if that makes more of a difference. I'm also going to try it with about 1/2 of the clear part of the glass chamber filled. Last night, I was also using the titanium rod to stir the herb to prevent hot spots like several Youtubers had mentioned.

I'm really, really hoping it's something I'm doing wrong. I like everything about the Ditanium in its design and layout. I was wanting something that would be primarily for home use with strong, smooth hits with low maintenance/high reliability.

    Hello @Project_Libitina
Don't max out the heat, just keep increasing the heat up a little at a time till you find your sweet spot. It's in there, mine is right around 2:30 whereas a lot of others are at the 12:00-1:00. I usually let it pre heat a good while. Don't need to fill it with so much flower either, especially if your not at your desired results. My average load in the Ditanium is usually between .1 - .2 grams.
Have fun finding out the power available and hope to hear about your aha moment with the Ditanium.
Plugging in my Ditanium now.

I tried it again last night, had MUCH better experience. I used a smaller amount of CBD flower and packed it into the screen. I let the unit warm up for about 20 minutes on the 3 o'clock position.

Here's the biggest thing I did that I think helped things out. After I set the whip on the heated up titanium piece, I took about 3 smallish cigar puffs to try to prime the vapor. After that, I was able to take a large hit, and was rewarded with a billowy cloud of vapor. I did cough quite a bit, but as SloJimFizz pointed out, 3 o'clock is probably too harsh for just flower. I'll try my next session about 1:30 and keep adjusting until I find the sweet spot.

Yea, in the Titanium Hand piece, your standard fine screen will do. Can use a smaller one as long as you center it on the hole and let the Ti pieces hold it in place when you screw them together.
Glad you got better results @Project_Libitina Once you find the sweet spot, priming and all that are not needed IME. Instant billowy clouds on first inhale.
