Anybody else experience inconsistent stacking?

Sometimes the bubbles will foam and stack to the top of the can but other times the bubbles barely reach the bridge, even when its fully clean

also am using distilled water

The cleaner the water the less it will stack

also, the stacking is nice eye candy but I don't think it makes any real difference as the actual diffusion happens at the disc. In fact, I often don't even use water in there and find the wet disc will still do a pretty good job of diffusion.

Can anyone shed some light on the differences between the Micro Bub and Mini Can or is it just looks? I am on the fence between the two. Thanks in advance.

Micro is like 7 inches.....mini is like 9 or 10

Thanks! From what I have seen most are around the same size at least in height. I am more interested in the design and if there is any difference other than appearance. Thanks again for answering some of my newb questions. Cheers!

Main difference is volume in the blub. The mini basically has the same fret disk just like the micro only the micro bulb is smaller in volume. I tried both in NVS and bought the Micro because it was multicolor fret (special) and liked the volume better.

I can't tell which I like better the 13 or 16 inch, it's almost hard to compare to two in certain ways. The feel of the tube and the hit are noticably differenent, I would love to try a 65mm...

Your picture doesn't show the way you've posted it... I'm not 100% that I understand your problem, but I think I would try heating the adapter with a torch if it's stuck together with reclaim.

mrboote,
looks nice, but I would think its too much. My sngle fret is plenty and maybe on the edge. Can't image two...

Looks like NVS Glassworks in the image :)
Yes that is from NVS's FB page. I would also think it would be too much but also remember that David went to a courser frit now so I believe it doesn't stack as much now because it is bigger bubbles? IDK I like my original Goldstein lol. I have one that I need to get fixed as well.

I'm the only one that finds that bubble look in those new pieces ugly? My favorite DG is the micro, don't know why but I love it :)
Yes, I agree. That is the one I have. Perfect size.

I would maybe PM NVS of FB... Ask them since they posted a pic of the double. Jason would just compare them to a standard Fret...
I will stop by soon and see myself. Need to see their new stock again way...

man, I really need to check out NVS... I was in portland about 6 weeks ago (I live in a suburb of seattle), with a friend, and we were going to stop by, but rush hour traffic was awful  and we needed to get home.

I'm not actually in the market for one of the double discs, I was more wondering about whether the latest mini cans will have a coarser frit, as I am (kinda... finances in flux) in the market for one.
