Well, I just crossed the "spousal" boundary with this new piece of glass. I feel bad since I just bought the Zob on 4/20. Her EXACT words: "Do what you have to do . . ." :D I think getting permission was better than asking for forgiveness after the fact in this situation . . .

Fritted screened slides have been around for years, they clog easy.

the fritted screens would not flow as well as the mesh cage ELB. It would also be UNGODLY costly to make them precise enough to seal well.

lol, no phone :\ i only txt. HAH, wouldn't that be something? only time i ever use a phone is to order me a dope ass piece :) haha t-dub! i JUST checked ALT actually thinking, yea right, was surprised to see they HAD one.

"out of stock" yea nobody's gonna pick this one up

i can imagine these aren't exactly mass produced.

really debating if i should buy one? or go to my blower first? either way i feel like if i make the trip, ill end up buying or using my money to put a custom order in, thus be back to square one without a DG :|

No excuses now Xchadb ;) You know, I don't NEED this thing, unless being able to use a nail is a necessity, but I WANT it.

    Hi Chad-
    17" 24mm convertible $350
    14" 24mm convertible $320
    18" 18mm DI $250
    11" 18mm mini DI $290
    10" 18mm micro colored frit $320
    Shipping via FedEx $24
    :) got an email back!

honestly im prob not gonna use a nail(all the time).... as dumb as i sound. I really only dab to test or taste just small piece of whatever, before i load it or do whatever i do with it.
prob end up throwin the solo on it, worried about the flow restriction preventing stacking? then again im getting the new high flow stems from PA.... then again also getting the micro dab setup on the solo, but i have no ideas how the airflow is on this
or maybe this is when i cross over the dab world......again....ugh -_-
dabs really got me far from flowers the first time, really far. Then you take a break and realise wax comes from beautiful weeeeeeeed, and that i should just enjoy it without compressing it into sticky stuff :)

or i should just buy it...only question is, what kind? i think the mini can fits me well, eh? :science:

The can looks cool. I am trying to decide if the 14" convertible would put the Cloud base right in my face and so I guess maybe the 17" then? Gotta find the dimensions of the Cloud base . . .

    Edit: Cloud base is 6.5" x 2.25"

Thx bro.! Why could you not use it on a desk? You know I dislike tubes vs bubblers and will always take a piece that fits in my hand and that is a desk friendly piece!

Yes as stated I have a herborizer fritted screen slide/bowl...Ths is another world! Yes the bowl is a 00 porosity = very restricted airflow + easiness to clog VS. this disc wich is maybe porosity 01 or 02 is = no restriction at all!

thx bro, yes of course 290 bux + shipping = 355 bux!

You've got it backwards dude, 00 is the coarsest grade, 5 is the finest grade.

I found a website that looks like it sells the fritted discs individually.
If all goes well ill have a few more fritted disc accessories in the future.

I'm running with the assumption that the DG fritted discs are probably grade 00, by the look of them.
The site that sells them doesn't list the grade, but has extra coarse, Coarse, medium, and fine.
I'm thinking their coarse ones will be grade 0 or 1, which may give a bit more of a restriction, but should also up the filtration a bit.

So long as the discs are suitable, I'm getting a couple of LSV WPAs made  and an ash catcher :D

It'll probably be a while till I get them, but expect a vid of my DG proto with the fritted A/C when I have them both :brow:

Did you ask for the colors in the Fritted? Or did it just come worked like that?

Also where do I get one of those female/female pieces?

FLskwat: I am loving the idea of a fitted disk slide like you herborizsr slide. I looked on their website and I couldn't find it, was that a custom piece? How effective is it at keeping your water pipes clean?

Does it add a lot of drag? The carbon filters that I have tried add way too much drag, ash catchers are just a pain, and I'd rather not just squish a screen in the joint of my heady slides in case they get scratched.

this is the 17'' full size "convertible" btw just so you guys know. :D cloud goes great with the fritter! (thats what my friends and I call these things now :p)

They come with the "convertible" models because they are 24mm to 18mm female to female adapters for the 24mm joint. you could prolly find an 18-18 female to female pretty easily for the other sizes

Yep I know which one it is! ;-) I'm not a tube fan but I asked josh if he could get me the conversion kit for my mini!
    Nice video btw !
NotMyReal:check page 1 of this same topic! Yes custom, and the porosity of it is really fine so it adds quite a drag, keeps the pipes pretty clean but gets dirty/clogged itself pretty easily. NOt a problem for a clean freak like me who cleans daily his in-use piece!
VapeNStone : if the question about colors in the fritted was for me...then I did not request specifically the worked one...only said I wanted the mini DG!

The 17" convertible is $350 out the door. Rather than pay for shipping and wait, I chose to spend the $ on gas and drive the 100 miles up there . . . no speeding ticket :D
