After using dabpress caged plates and an H-frame shop press for more then a year I decided it was time for an update.

So with the 10% discount at this moment I ordered a new 10t drip tech press...I will order the pump from the UK, hopefully I will be up and running, euh pressing again in about two weeks.

Happy weekend FC!

As many of you know FC has been a big part of Dabpress's success. Out of all the forums and social medias around, many of our potential customers lurk FC or end up on FC for the solid information on all sorts of products, as our members are good at picking apart the products and drawing fair conclusions. As we are also active in that part of that process, we have made adjustments and modifications to our products and finally delivering updated revisions carefully thought out and tested. Simply put, FC has been a real benefit for dabpress.

All that being said, FC has many dabpress friends and customers. We wanna extend our gratitude to the FC community and offer some big ticket giveaways!

Right now we are looking through the contest rules and working on a few contests. It looks like FC has some tiered contest areas restricted by trophy points rewarded to individual members based on their participation and milestones achieved on FC. My initial thought is that the highest ticket item will be eligible for the most trophy rewarded members, while the lowest item will be less restricted. In other words, if you are a new FC member and wanna get in on the high ticket items, you'll need to become more famous around FC =)

We hope to start up the contests in the next week or so as we work with the admins here on FC.

Thank YOU ALL for your continued support and interest in our products, we won't soon forget you

Love the idea of an FC contest.

Not sure who controls the Dab press IG, but you might want to take a look at the contest that's being run there. There are some ABSURD restrictions to the contest that provide some very bad optics imo.

The dab press is always on my radar, I just don't have the access to flower right now to justify it!

Yeah, the contests on IG are a bit 'strange' demanding some strange things to participate... After seeing and reading them it does not feel like a giveaway...but more like you put in the work and you might be compensated for it ... Like a job where your payment is not garanteed.

The IG is ran by China factory employees. I haven't seen it, so I'll have to take a look.

I'm not a big fan of Mr Zuckerberg or his platforms, apologies for being out of touch on that side.

Well....it starts with you need 10k followers on instagram. Secondly, follow dabpress. Thirdly, tag 50 friends in comments with tags. Then your post needs to get more then 100likes. Then you have to post this al again in 5 Facebook groups? I do not have aan idea what this means?

But yeah, pretty absurd if you ask me...

Then you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around? It all seemed like way too much work to me...smh

I reached out to the china factory to critique the exclusiveness of the IG contest. Maybe they will reconsider it, but it is a giveaway after all, so we'll see what happens there.

Now back in more important waters, here on FC :)

I am sure our FC contest will be much more accessible to our members here, and the odds of winning much better. I hope you all will be participating when the contest is posted.

Tip: Work on your trophy count here on FC to have access to the higher tier'd giveaways.

Ordered 10t drip tech press on Sunday, arrived today in Spain!

Had to pay a hefty amount to customs which is a bit of a downer. Just saying it here so fellow European rosineers know what can happen: 196 euros... They charged me a whopping 60euros only for handling (opening it up and taping it again) the package!!!

But... The press is even nicer and smaller then expected in person.

Now if only ups would deliver the pump today this might be a bee-sy weekend with al the pollen and such:)

Wow @tepictoton that is insane you had to pay nearly ~50% of the unit’s cost in customs fees alone! It seems almost criminal, like paying the mafia for “protection”, thanks for the heads up! Sorry to read that happened to you though, that just seems excessive. I thought I had a dabpress AIO on the horizon but now thinking it’ll wait until the EU warehouse is up and running... I was budgeting for ~$500 not ~$700. It’s still a good value, I believe, for what you get from dabpress but I’m a cheap bastard and will have to wrap my head around this new info!

I gotta ask our other EU members: was this the case with customs on your dabpress purchase in your experience as well? Sometimes it seems like it comes down to whether the customs agent is overly zealous with your goods and I know that some countries’ customs are more strict and costly than others. It’s those cases that seem like a scam or organised crime syndicate to extract a ridiculous percentage from their citizens.

If you search for my Posts in this Thread you find the whole customs story... i had to pay but just about what i expected.
It is important to have all information on the outside of the package to get it fast and without hassle through customs, i would advise to research this and in my case, shipping via DHL Express is better than normal DHL shipping because Express can process customs themselves.
Read up my longer post about this, hope it helps a bit.

European warehouse is definetely a nice thing but also with customs, i have to say the value of my dabpress feels pretty great. Very good quality and just something which keeps on giving....

Have a great day!

I agree... It is still worth what I paid for!

It seems this is what a 'silent war' must be like, just tax the shit out of your 'enemy'?

Would also like to add again the clearing proces went really smooth. And Spanish customs = maffia, so yeah, they are not ashamed to charge you 60 euros for opening your package lol fuck them.

And, my first order from dabpress, caged plates, came trough without any import fee. Sure seems like it is a bit 'at random' if you get hit with custom fees or not...

@psychonaut that’s great to hear you guys are busy working on this because that’s pretty outrageous imo. So I just wanna make sure I understand what a UK/EU* warehouse will mean for the Euro customers, I’m fairly baked atm so I’m gonna use a hypothetical to illustrate what my Impression is:

@tepictoton & @Doktor Dub get their mate to order their own DabPress AIO because the wife says they’re coming around too much since they got their respective dp units :D The EU warehouse processes the orders and because they originate in the UK/EU, the friends in Germany & Spain pay no customs/duties?

My humble suggestions on what to stock in warehouse:
I’d say the 3, 6 & 10-ton AIOs for sure; the top 2-3 selling caged plates, hand pumps, top 2-3 pre-presses, all the filters, and whatever replacement parts you think would be wise.

@dabpress.com depending on the quantities you’re thinking of, I’d happily stock inventory and be your temporary UK connection! Doesn’t seem like it needs to be run out of a massive warehouse to begin with, and it would get you up and running over here with minimal costs and much faster.

* I’m still hopeful that the UK will wind up remaining in the EU out of sheer bureaucratic ineptitude.

@pxl_jockey that's pretty much the idea, get the product into the respective warehouses and then ship them as locally as we can.

Those are great suggestions, a couple pages back I listed what's currently in the warehouse, which are some of what you listed. The 10-ton unit we have been hesitant to stock around the world due to pump availability but now that we have our own pump to be released soon, it's no longer an issue.

Sorry I missed that, I’ll go back and check it out, been in hospital and have some catching up to do.

Yessir, I’m loving that you guys have managed to bring the hand pump in-house. Not that I would mind sourcing it elsewhere really, but it is convenient and there’s peace of mind getting everything directly from dabpress. It’s preferable for me to place one order, knowing that dabpress says each piece of the setup is good and if something happened to go wrong, I’ll get their top-quality CS.

Mine wobbles too I noticed today!

Did not notice that yesterday, but placing it on a totally flat surface made it painfully clear one of the 'feet' is not touching the floor.

This wobble is very annoying, especially when pressing. I myself like to hold the press with one hand, and pump with my other hand. This little wobble makes it feel like it might tip over, and when pressing and holding the press makes the whole thing feel unstable...

Is it possible to fix this ourselves? I do not think the 'legs' of the press are not of the same length. I think they mounted the legs while the press is laying sideways and thus not noticing when they are not mounted the same?

Really is such a small thing, but it is really really really annoying...

Edit: so please let us know if this might be fixed by loosening up the screws on the legs and resetting the legs so they do end up being on the same height... Sure hope so

I can understand the annoyance.

Yes if you both can please loosen all 4 screws that mount the legs to the bottom frame, just enough to set the base flat, then retighten them down.
