My guy, Ramahs...couldn't pull up your images? Would love to see em.

My apologies. I'm newer to FC. Still learning the common codes.

The wand slides in and out easilly, but I have to lift it to the bottom where the tube enters before I can pull it sideways and out. The mouthpiece has to lift about a quarter inch to pull out to the side as well.

It's a fairly functional ghetto coat-hanger thing. Lol

Also, be aware that if you do this, you may scratch your device and lower it's resale value if you use it for a long period of time.

Thanks for the Pic! That looks pretty good for just a pair of pliers and a wire hanger. I'm gonna give it a go and see what I come up with. I wish someone would come up with a more slick/polished look that matches the dbv finish. I'm looking @ you 7th Floor! You and I can't be the only ones looking for something like this.

I don't have a facebook so I can't see what this post is?

Anyway, I was going to ask if there is any difference in the shape or size of heater covers, I got a Da Buddha for $60 with the ground glass heater cover but i have a SSV standard wand and heater cover set here. Are they interchangable? I used to have a SSV but sold it years ago to a friend who did not have access to concentrates.

I mix LSV and Da Buddha glass heater covers and its seems to work. What I don't know is if you will need or want to adjust the height of the heater rod, if so its simple to do 7th Floor even did a video. Good Luck

Can someone help me find out what screens the DBV stem needs? I have been only doing direct draw with an old LSV stem which is awkward at best.

The DBV stem has a screen but it just barely fits. Stirring very gently or even a strong pull can cause the screen to flip around, causing a bowl full of green weed to enter my mouth or bong.

I have not been using the DBV with the whip setup yet for this reason. Is the DBV screen supposed to be this loose? If so, what size screen will fit more securely? Luckily I had this LSV stem around from the LSV i broke, or i wouldn't be using this DBV at all.\

Is there any cheaper place to get the standard heater cover than from 7th floor? I'm wondering if i should give up on the DBV stem.

I have been using the same setup as you are using with .75" brass screens from my smoking pipes. However the stainless screens I prefer can be a pain the first few times they go in and out. I have also had some 1" screens but I used those all up and haven't seen any for sale recently. As to cheap glass ebay is a source but no gurantees on quality. Good Luck

My friends call me "Menz"
i stock up on screens and hose every year when 7th floor has a sale. there screens are best. they sit fine for me in the stem with a slight dome to it. they only start to come out when the screen is so clogged from use that when i blow out the ABV it will move but never come out. i learned how to put in a screen by watching tokin daily who turned me on to 7th floor back in 2009

Just purchased a new DB (old one given to my son). I don't recall the heater cover being aligned so low to the hole through the aluminum cylinder. Anyone know how to adjust this? Probably doesn't matter - the wand still clears without touching the aluminum. But I'd like to center it.

I'm thinking maybe I need to open up the base and see if there are support brackets which hold the inside disk (which the heating element and cover are mounted on) at a certain height, then adjust it or add spacers.

I took the bottom off mine and found that the alignment was dependent on where the wiring was pulling or pushing the heater rod, so no real alignment brackets. I don't this for sure but opening the unit may void your warranty.

OK thanks. Heating element itself seems to be in a good spot. Was just wondering about the glass cover and how low it is when looking through the hole in the body of the DB.

Time for me to start using it and stop thinking too much!

I believe its an 1/8" gap that is supposed to be between the tip of the heater and the glass, which if memory serves is a factory recommendation.

Ive always wondered if you could hook a fish pump up to the DBV to fill bags like the Super SSV, i'm thinking if the bottom of the heater cover was blocked properly and you attached it at the inlet hole would it work?

Ok DBV fans help out a fellow traveler! I am looking for a accessory for my DBV. Looking for a way to hang up the mouthpiece and tube between hits. I could fashion something out of a wire hanger but it would be crude looking. I could see something attaching to the round metal part of the DBV.

I picked up a metal mop/broom holder from home depot put a magnet in the back and attached it to a lamp.

I just purchased a new silver da Buddha from vapefiend and the heater cover is aligned low to the hole in the aluminium housing. Just like nealcassidy has.

Looks like something went wrong in a recent manufacturing run...

Also, no clue what the little grey sponge pill thing that came with it is for.
