Steam-Punk Series .

Currently my favourite .
Check out two of them ,both my daily drivers .

Both are carbless ,condenser-less ,XL length stems ( 62 mm + 17 mm & 62 mm + 19 mm) .
They both feature the non-spinning mp /CCD insert tool .
One mp is a bit longer (@ both of it's "sides" )for extra weight -thus relocating the VC's center of gravity really low ,when holding. Along with the twister knurl grip and the slightly increased overall length, spinning the VC becomes rather pleasant and smooth experience .

The "smoked copper-bronze " steam-punk anodized hue:
Actually that is one hue t,hat most of you can -safely-achieve by yourselves ,
using simple materials at home .
More details about it ,later on .

Cheers.

How I can make my Titanium parts have that cool steam punk hue ?

Well, there are couple of easy ways that you can apply that hue at any Titanium made vapCap part .

Method #1 :

You will need :
-A deep plastic or glass container (preferably with a lid )
-Hydrogen Peroxide ( the 3% kind will do ,but the higher the concentration the faster the results )
-Some time.

Procedure : Place the titanium parts ,hanging mid-air ,using some plastic string , inside the container .
Make sure the string is not covering any part of the area you wish to take the steam-punk hue.

Fill with hydrogen peroxide.
Make sure that the Titanium parts are well degreased and thoroughly cleaned before placing them into the bath and that now are well covered by Hydrogen Peroxide.
Place the lid at the container

Then all you have to do is wait, checking regularly the hue that the parts are taking
and maybe do some stirring .

It will go slowly from -to :
Natural Titanium grey=>"smoked light gold "=>
"bronze" => "antique bronze" =>"smoked copper"=>
"eggplant" => "purple" .

Tip: warming a bit the hydrogen peroxide might speed things up.
But be cautious: you must not bring hydrogen peroxide to boiling point .

Method #2 :
You will need :
-Plastic or glass bowl
-Distilled water
-White Vinegar
-Variable Power supply ( 12 -15 Volts needed ,you can use multiple batteries or
3x 5 Volt USB wall chargers ,with their OUTPUTS in line connected ).
-Aluminium foil
-Titanium string ( used for making vaping rebuildable coils )

First, degrease as good as you can the titanum parts to be anodized.

Mix the distilled water with the white vinegar ( 3:1 volume-wise ) .
Place at the fridge and let it stay, until the temperature of the solution is about 4°C.

Then pour the solution at the bowl .
By using a large piece of Aluminium foil placed at one side of the bowl but dipped inside the solution, you are making the Cathode. You will connect that foil with the "minus" pole
of the power supply.Make sure that only aluminium is touching the solution and not any wire or
crocodile clip .

Then using the Titanium wire on the titanium parts you want to anodize ,
you hang them inside the bowl. Make sure that they are fully covered by the solution.
Connect with the "plus" pole of the PSU.

Apply power at the anodizing system.
You aim between 12 Volts ( bronze ) till 15 Volts ( smoked copper ).

When you are satisfied with the hue ,take out the parts from the bath ,and wash with
plain tap water.

While I will accept custom orders ,my wish is to focus on one single model .
This model is my own "trademark" sort of speaking.

The two-piece XL carbless stem .

One piece is the stem ,which is made out from Titanium grade 2 tube ( ID 8 mm / OD 10mm )
and has a length of 62 mm ( standard Dynavap stem ) .

The other piece is the mouthpiece ,which is made out from titanium grade 2 rod ( Dia. 10 mm )
and has an overall length of 32 mm ( 17 mm outside the stem and 15 mm inside the stem ).

Also this mp can be used to insert the CCD into the Vapcap tip.

This mp is a bit heavier than the standard Dynavap Ti mouthpieces ( OMNI or Spin ) and
it has an inner tube of 4 mm ,instead of 5 mm that the original Dynavap mouthpieces have.

Check out couple of two-piece XL Carbless stems :

The - NEW -custom Titanium mouthpiece for the VapCap

It's a standard length ( 17 mm ) mouthpiece made of Titanium Grade 2 .
It's weight ranges between 5,2 to 5,6 grams.

- It provides a comfortable interfacing with the lips.

-It relocates the center of balance really low ,so spinning the VC s done in much more easier, faster
and efficient way.

-Can be used to install the CCD inside the tip.

-It looks really cool !

-Murphys Law about the VapCaps dictates :
"If a VapCap is dropped ,most probably will land tip first ".
Coopers addition to the fore-mentioned law :
"The chances of dropping tip first are increased ,in analogy to the tip's temperature " .
Maybe then, this mp will help into breaking some weird enough "laws " ...

The SDS mp uses two standard o-rings (Viton or Silicone) to be attached to a stem

While Dynavap uses custom ordered size Ti tubes -with an inner diameter of 5 mm -to fabricate their mps, those custom SDS mps are made from Titanium rods.

Cheers.

@stardustsailor, sans shipping, how much is the tip? And will it retrofit all the stems you've previously produced?
Haven't actually thought about it.
These mps are made to fit my custom 62 mm stems.
Of course they will fit any stem/body that has an inner diameter of 8 mm .
BUT :
1 ) These mps are not spinning ones .

2 ) They are not compatible with any of the two Dynavap condenser systems (OMNI or standard ) .

Will it fit on Talos? You'd be surprised how gunked up the screens get.

The screen that Talos came with is supposed to get gunked up really fast.
This particular screen is used to filter out micro-particles.
It's made of the finest SS mesh .
If you need to use your Talos without that feature ,
you will need to either remove this screen completely
or replace it with Dynavap Ti or SS CCD.

No.This mp will not fit Talos ,as Talos has an inner diameter of 7 mm at it's mp side.

I've replaced it with a SS CCD at the moment. I actually love the chamber because of the filtering and because I like the restricted draw.

With the SS screen you installed you get clogging after not that many bowls and it ends up completely blocked eventually.
