Coughing and vaping: totally natural or am I doing it wrong?

Fuck me, man. I took way too big a hit with the whip. No matter what, I'm probably gonna be coughing tonight.

Looks like I got some practicing to do this weekend...

I just did two bowls in a row of kief on my Nano at 7.5 on the dial. Coughed like crazy after the second one!

I think high heats are definitely an exacerbating factor for coughing. I am going to experiment with lifting my GonG to allow little pockets of air into the vapor and see how that goes today. Will report back! :D

Yeah... I'm just fucked.

I took one hit using the whip last night, and then one this morning. My chest is all fucked up. I think this bastard gave me asthma or something (I sure hope it's not "or something").

I've got to lay off this for a while. A long while. Obviously a couple weeks ain't gonna do it.

I'm going to try making edibles. Unfortunately, I can't cook in the house (tried it once - the smell was CRAZY). I was reading up on this "Leeching" method, which I'm actually looking forward to trying.

But FUCK, I just want to take a hit and go about my day. fuck.

OP try making BHO and then cooking them into capsules. Be very careful on dosage per pill though or you'll be in for the trip of your life. :D

I run my arizer through a water pipe, bong. Sometimes I even have a balloon through it. Really cools it down, haven't had a cough for ages.
Also if you vap over about 215c I think things start combusting and gets tickly.

best advice i can give is have a hot drink when vaping .tea, coffee will help some
however if it still persist you may want to use a cough spray .

This is my morning ritual! Coffee and vape session while checking emails, reading articles, etc... I did try warm water and It's much better than cold because I feel like its not as much of a shock to your lungs. For some reason I feel like that helps.

I noticed I cough more from straight glass or whip type vapes. Where the heat is coming straight from the chamber to my throat. The dry heat seems to be what irritates me the most. That's where the coffee comes in handy :)

From what I've Gathered Here: (Volcano Vaporizer vs Smoking)
http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/jcantgieringervapor.pdf

It says: "It should be noted that vaporizers do not entirely eliminate respiratory irritation. A puff of strong vaporized cannabis will occasionally elicit a cough. This could be entirely due to THC itself, which is known to irritate the bronchial tract (Tashkin 1977)"

They also go on to say: "The FDA currently has no criteria for evaluating vaporization devices."

The testing was done in 2003, published in 2004 but I'm assuming this is still true today as I can't find any other research on any vaporizers being FDA approved.

Summary - They aren't testing or doing research on vaporizers because using marijuana in the form of smoking is still harmful due to the chemicals released during combustion. ( I think? ) Makes perfect sense....................................... /sarcasm

Is there a water tool that will fit the Extreme Q whip?

I know that one of my friends used to always cough when taking a hit but if he ever ran for like 10 minutes or more a day before he took ever a hit, he didn't cough as much or at all!

I always keep something handy to drink whenever I vape though, definitely helps out.
