It might help to know what vape you use, what your vaping, and what temperatures.

I use a dnail SIC dish set at around 500F and may crank it up to about 550f to finish. I bought it on faith after reading on FC about it. But I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works for me. Up til then I only hit torch heated glass or ti nails. They caused me lots of coughing. 95% of my nail vaping is with home squeezed rosin from organically grown buds.

9 years ago I was smoking joints and coughing my ass off, and the year I bought my first vape, a volcano, lol.

I use a traditional gr2 ti enail around 500 degrees, puffco peak on blue, or quartz banger, all types of concentrates at all temps, co2 distillate, shatter live resins etc, I can com just joints all day and feel fine but dabs make me cough and vaping my pax1 or 3 or arizer air seems to dry me out and irritate as wel.

Hmmm, have you tried using warm water in your water pipe? Some folks swear by that. And it does help to stay hydrated while you vape. I always have a water bottle handy. That's about all I got, maybe someone can give you better advice.

And just maybe a break is in order. Worth trying at least.

It may be worth getting a doctor to check you out as well. Just to be sure there's not a underlying problem.

Well I have asthma I'm sure that doesn't help, but it's weird that old style hot dabs of who knows what hurt me less than clean, cool dabs. I've noticed my live resin that's sugary and a little terpy doesn't make me cough as bad as a crumble or shatter

The higher the terp count the harder you will cough. If you run into HTE or Full Spectrum extracts ... it may hurt.

Dabbing decarbed products should help as they don't have any *A* in it. (THCa or CBDa)

    It converts to CO2

Also picking a different nail maybe better; I don't cough as much on my SiC Halo from D-nail ...

8.5% or higher terp count will make me cough for 1-2 minutes easy

Asthma sure doesn't help at all. For me the cooler the better.

I love my dnail SIC dish as well. If I get a terpy rosin I keep turning the temp down and usually i can find a sweet spot to start at that doesn't get me coughing, then crank it up as the terps disappear.

Recently I was vaping fresh Colombian gold rosin that was so strong of lime it was almost overwhelming. But I had to turn down the temps at least 20 degrees F to actually enjoy the taste without coughing. Practice practice practice, lol.
