Cheap, high-quality bubbler??

For the same reason lots of us have more than 1 vape. :)
There are subtleties to every piece of glass, even extremely similar pieces can have quite a different feel to them.
A smaller piece may give better flavor with less diffusion, a bigger piece may give smoother hits with more diffusion, sometimes you want no drag, sometimes you might want a bit more drag.

And as you said, even the purely scientific (no fancy shapes or colors) stuff has a definite art factor to them.
Just as there's no vape thats perfect for every situation, IMO its the same for glass.
There may be a single piece that will fill most situations, but there's always gonna be another piece that can fulfill one particular niche perfectly.

Well, I really can't say it better than Frederick and that's primarily because Frederick is the guy, responsible for my glass disease (him and bOObs). Not that I blame them. But, while I have always had a love for glass, especially scientific... he was the guy, that really made me start understanding how it all worked together. While we may not always share the same taste, nor opinion... he's definitely been an influence.

You know what... @#$% him. I DO BLAME HIM!

Oh? Sell the $40 VB Knock-Off? I don't know if I'll ever be that desperate. That piece, is truly infamous. I still get notes from people, asking me how/where to get one and a lot of hate on pipesdaddy, that you can't get them anymore... since it became infamous. LOL!

BDV I think you should blame him and boobs just like I blame a few on here for making me get a few vapes.

I totally understand and learned. I didn't know each piece of glass was that different. As frederick might have read on some of my posts I do switch vapes a lot to get what I need at the time and depending on my sinuses. So the draw restriction is a huge factor depending. Very interesting boys very interesting.

I don't spend a lot of time deciding on vapes. I know what I want, depending on what kind of day. If I'm out and about. Quick wake and vape with the HI, then the MFLB in my pocket. At night, its the HI or VB, depending on my mood. Both are excellent units, using temp control for vapor density and extraction. The HI furthering that ability, with movement/rotation. Vapes just aren't something I sit and contemplate.

But, standing in front of a glass collection, all sparkly and clean. Lattice, Showerheads, Inlines... calling to me, "Which ride would you like to take tonight?"

"Come play with us... we all float down here..." Wait... ??? That's Stephen King. Never mind.

Alright, I guess I'm back where I belong.

After a short adventure with a expensive high-end piece and a few mishaps I decided it just isn't for me. I seem to prefer the ergonomics of my Ehle over a bubbler most of the time, and to be honest it was just too worrisome for me to use something that's so expensive yet breakable at the same time.

Back to the simple life for this guy, oh sweet relief.

Except Ehle is considered HQ glass. At least, IMO. :p

HQ, but still easy on the wallet...
The best kind of HQ

I thought we'd set a 100 dollar limit here, so technically I'm way within budget with my 250ml @ 45 Euro's including a diffused downstem & shipping. I could even upgrade to a custom Ehle with some color in it & still be within the set price limit :p

But lets not put those ideas in my (own) head... :uhoh:

You're right though, the quality itself is really nice. It's a steal for what it costs really. Either that, or everything else is overpriced

I have 2 7inch travel straight tubes with showerhead downstems on the way from SSFG. I can't wait! Now I need to find someone with some extra silicone hose because I'm broke.

I'm just glad that Frogboy138 and GOATPUSSY are here having this conversation...Everytime I see the word GOATPUSSY

I have nothing of value to add at the moment (despite the fact that I'm looking for cheap high quality bubblers)...resume conversation.

Well so far service from SoulShine Family Glass has been well above my expectation and I had high expectation. Only a few more days before I have my first bong since the Graffix days.

I think you'll really enjoy it. I had the exact same setup a few months ago and I was really happy with it.

Not quite bubblers, but definitely cheap & high quality.

Digging the tiny bore on this new Beaker on HPG.
    $100 - Dub Glass

Another skinny bore'd tube popped up today on ALT for ULTRA cheap (as far as ALT goes). The explanation being the non-diffused downstem, but still a steal @ $65 - Wicked Sands

The beaker was sold out for a week but when I checked today it is order-able again.

There's also a straight-shooter @ the same price by Dub.
