A few questions loyal Cheap, High-Quality Members, please. Better suited here than Ask FC, I think?

What is the cut-off price point when the topic is cheap, high-quality bubblers? For you, personally I mean.

And while the default source seems to be DHgate & Popularglass, do TAG or MaxQualityGlass qualify?
Isn't it Chinese Prodo Glass with more quality-control and less risk (presumably) at slightly higher prices?
Even their 2nd's discounted pieces, I've read more than one member say they couldn't even find the supposed flaw, certainly nothing affecting its performance. So that seems to qualify, for me, anyway. Besides, there are pieces on the Gate for $150+ so are those to be considered cheap as well?

Just curious if there is an unspoken groupthink price point at which functional glass ceases to be cheap and becomes something else. Is it simply personal and relative to one's taste, budget and breaking tendencies?

Sorry if this isn't appropriate here, please delete or move. I'm just a stoner who thinks about stuff sometimes and I freakin love FC giving me, us, this community to answer these burning questions.

Bottom-line: Do what work's for you!

    PRICE/FUCTION/QUALITY?

4 me I broke all my USA glass.
My wife was wonderding all the $$$ I was dumping was wasteful?

So I have found DHGATE to fit a niche for poor low budget use.

FC have OK stuff. (mouthpiece's R 2 HUGH 4 me) I just modify DIY to get by!

$20 to $50 is the average range.

I have a few I have not yet tried even?

    Thank you 4 reminding me.

HUMP DAY was brutal this day? (Over MEDICATED)

    Do what float's your boat?

For me personally it depends on the piece. Something like the Kraken from CCG I have no problem paying $190 or less for considering something like that from an American artist is going to cost 3k plus. If I was just shopping regular glass on dhgate $40-$60 is generally what I want to stay under. I considered all of the glass on dhgate to be super cheap though.

I went to a LHS and was shocked at the prices for the China glass. At least a 3x mark up to as much as 5x.:rant::cuss:

My dhgate rigs cost me between $26 - 70. That's as high as I'd go. There's a rig I have my eye on at one of the popular online smoke shops & it's $130. I found 2 Chinese mfrs. (not offered on dhgate) who make these & they are about $30 each if you buy a 12/case. That's some markup. Probably would be cheaper to buy a case, keep 3 (for breakage sake), then sell the rest for the $30 + 15 ship. Would be a win-win for everyone.

After enjoying my brand new SixShooters Bubbler I come back to my Atomic Perc Bubbler. It's a very nice one cause the perc is in the top chamber so I don't put water in the bottom chamber which catch most of the reclaim and all the small bits of abv/flowers/dust (this chamber is pretty easy to clean with a brush), like that the water in the top chamber stay cleaner for longer and I only get a small resin buildup here which is easily cleanable.

The mp was too short for so I replaced it with another slightly longer and with more angle, here a pic of the Atomic Perc Bubbler with my DIY (or DIM) vape I called The Volute:

Will do, not sure how much I plan to use it with flowers aside from double deckers but will give it a try. Flowers with short airpath and low diffusion can get me coughing but I too am curious.

@psychonaut @muunch ,Same here guys, Im interested in this piece. The high water vol should be good for cooling, but I read that it can take a bit of pull to get going initially.
Im not such a fan of pieces where you have to keep hold of the reigns once started.
The FC-186 is like this. The UFO is not. You can stop your inhale dead and instantly pick up again with no effort or even any blowback.

I have the rattle can and FC-188 and they are very different. I like the rattle for dabs, but not so much for my UnderDog and the FC-188 is the opposite. There's no blowback on the rattle can, but the FC-188 does it to me all the time. The FC-188 is silent - the rattle can, well the name says it, but it does preserve flavor well; better than the 188 I feel.

Can anyone link me to some budget recommendations for something not too big to try with my Fury 2 or a VapCap?

I figure I should go cheap because I have no experience so it's better for me to learn what I like before getting anything fancy.

That side car Mobius above looks cool and is still available. Would that be a good good fit for cool use with a Fury and the WPA?

    [link removed]

Also, is there any technique to smart shopping on dhgate or is it always best to go with the lowest price? There are a bunch of sellers with that Mobius above with price ranging from $25 to $37. They all look identical to me though.

Modnote: Link to labeled counterfeit glass removed

@MegaMan2k, want makes it counterfeit is if it has a fake logo on it. Anything without a logo is fine.
