Charcoal / Butane Smell coming from Da Buddha

Out of the blue today I noticed the vaporizer heater smells almost exactly like the smell of a charcoal grill mixed with butane. And also just as randomly, the heater doesn't appear as red as it used to when on full power.

There had been no burning or accidents. If you were to put your nose close to the heater cover and breath, it always would give off a slight smell before, but it never smelled so distinctly like charcoal. Any theories or similar issues?

First turn it off and let it cool down completely.
Remove your heater cover and clean it very thoroughly(dont forget to let it dry completely before replacing it), and take a q tip dipped in just a couple drops of alcohol and gently swab the metal base of the heating element and the actual heating element as well, then let it air out for a while before replacing the HC and turning it back on.

Clean your wand too I find that if the wand is left in for a while then the Hc will start to smell too.
