Hi sorry for the delay we have been at TPE tradeshow this week. We are flying back today! And will be able to get back to handling orders!

Just reporting back in to say that on Level/Temp 1 with the Titanium bucket RIPS me like consistantly which is great in this form factor not having to go through all the steps to take a dab I can just cold load and fire the Carta up and I know it'll milk longer that I can even go.

One thing that is concerning I do believe the atomizers themselves need a once over because it seems to me that a fresh bucket of any kind will cause some spill over in the airflow cap and on the sides of the bucket onto the heater, I have cleaned the Titanium one all around and tried it fresh just to make sure and sure enough a fresh dab on a clean one disappeared somehow once some material is picked up and either on the sides of the bucket or just underside it basically sealing that bucket to the heater (my guess?) allowing for any followng dabs to burn properly because after I inspect after a successful session there is always some spillover and or some material on the heater itself.

And I am not loading globbers here.

The Carta functions great I don't even need to go up to the other temperatures but it seems to me it just gets way dirtier than needed atomizer wise because eventually that comes out the bottom and gets in the threads etc...

I still need to mess with it more and see but I see no need to go higher on the Temps I'd love to try the app whenever possible to see how much lower I could go and still produce visible vapor and have max flavor and less burn.

Any chance some of those orders were orders that were waiting on custom glass? I didn't see an email yet

I agree with everything in the above post by FknOwned. I feel word for word. The device seems great. I like the glass better than the Peak it hits great. However the atomizer although way way way more reliable than the peak’s (at least my experience with the Peak) it does get a lot messier than it should.
I threw away my Cloud V Electro because the atomizer would always get dirty and it was not worth the hassle. That being said this needs a new style atomizer... sorry.
Both Quartz ones over flow and get all over the plate. Regardless of draw or size. The titanium one certainly does a better job, but it is also not exactly as maintenance free as taking a q tip to it. I find I have to take off the nail and swab the ceramic plate and torch the titanium nail several times a day.
Please rework this atomizer. Again I feel bad saying it. But at this point that’s how I feel.

This was my big concern for this device early on. The lowest temp is too high and the dish is too small IMO. I hope Focus V works out the larger atomizers very soon for all of you early buyers. I think Randall is trying to make a great product here and like he did when at Boundless, I hope he continues to listen to the consumers and improves his product based on the feedback they provide.

Not to stir the pot here but even a single beta tester should have been able to identify this atomizer spillover issue, @nosmoking and I called it very early on in the thread.

And let's be honest... how could Focus V not be experiencing the same issues you all are? Lol I'll leave it at that.

Fixing the bucket spill over is something we are working on now and will have complete for mass production. Of course all pre order customers will get there new atomizers first.

No doubt we will only release a finished product. The units that went out as I had stated before where not final production. although we hoped for the best results of course, we will continue to move toward that.

The 3 test units we had here with us prior to the mass production where slightly different in temps and bucket specs as they where sample parts built for me. I did experience reclaim etc.. but not to the degree we are seeing on some of these.

Of course again thank you to all who continue to support us on this early phase of the product release. As any of you have worked with me in the past know, I will for sure make it my priority to take care of any needs of you early adopters.

I will also be publishing all specs of the new buckets on here as well Just as I have done with the existing specs!

Look forward to the continued feedback and really looking forward to the official launch!

(also, we will have the Beta and Rep programs up and ready for signup soon!)

Ya wtf
It’s been there since the 10th
Ups it’s pretty much 3 days max from shipping* to receiving
Maybe you better start sending me a couple of atomizers now so I have them before the production model comes out.
By the way how’s the herb tank coming along? Very curious
Send me one soon

Cheers medicalmark

I haven’t had the overflow issues that some of you have expressed. That said, I have only been using Ti buckets, with very small loads, and a preheat before I load. Best I have found yet is to do a level 3 heat cycle, then melt in a nice small sticky diamond, with a level 2 heat cycle then applied.

Ok I have some photos after I had a session lest night with some friends, again not loading globbers, but here is the results of like just 2 days of use after being semi cleaned from first use.

As you can see material is getting under the actual ceramic heating element and flowing down the middle pipe in between the lead insulators which causes straight leaking into the air pathway through the device (isn't reclaim) I have pictures from inside the atomizer with the Ti bucket still stuck on the heating element and you can see there isn't much residue along the insides of the atomizer there is some but not near enough to cause as much leaking as coming through.

I had to clean off the inflow of my glass attachment as I was pulling wax through it.

The inside of the atomizer, as you can see some build up in there but not as much as coming through the center post.

I am not sure how Hossier says he is not having issues it seems to me that this can't be avoided in any way shape or form it's just the way it is designed and how it ends up.

Have you actually opened up the atomizer since use and checked out to see if any is getting on your heating element or under the airflow cap like in the last picture?

I mean because it is happening definitely.

*Edit and here is a picture of the actual ceramic heating element after removing the Titanium cap. (yes I can possibly run at a higher setting and clean off some of the charred bits)

I literally only put a single small dabs worth. I also qtip after every use. There is literally no way that I could have the volume of “overflow” that your pictures represent, as I never have that amount of material in the cup. Also, yes, out of anxiety of the potential for overflow from the device and due to stuck peak atomizer experience, I tend to unscrew the top, pull out the cup, and check the ceramic plate while the device is still warm.

Well that is weird because I only dab small as well and I qtip after dabs as well to not contaminate my next dab with old.

Also how are we supposed the clean the stainless steel air path through the device anyways, that is even beginning to seem like an afterthought here on this device as I am trying to get a pipe cleaning through it but the I am not able to navigate a pipe cleaner through the bend it makes.

I am just able to push a pipe cleaner in so far it doesn't seem to have a smooth bend to guide the pipe cleaner through.

Maintenance should have been included in prior testings even before pre-sale units but I am glad at least you did the pre-order/pre-sale units so we can actually bring this issues to light before the main release but yeah it seems just simple things as cleaning the device is kind of a chore.

*Edit
To clean the airway I just had to put the pipe cleaner in both ends instead of just passing it straight through I do some pushing in and out and twisting on the atomizer side and then follow up pushing it through the glass attachement side.

It worked alright can't tell if I got it really good or not but I blow through the hole and it seems cleared and not clogged so we're good to go for today.

More testing coming up!

I have some old buckets of various sizes laying around from other devices I'll try and see if they'll fit in the atomizer cup.

Hey Guys!

Ill have to try the pre-heat method your referring to @Hoosier. Although with the changes we plan to implement I would imagine that wont be needed as a permanent fix.

as far as cleaning the atomizers and the body i will be putting together a video on how i clean mine. Ill be pushing the limits a bit on how far an atomizer can be cleaned and the body as well. (ill include all the fails in the video too)

We plan to have a few custom designs at champs. one of them will be the next carta line up (probably a 4/20 release)

If you guys have any ideas or suggestions on what type of styles you would like to see let me know!

Ill keep everyone posted on the bluetooth app beta availability and the updated Atomizer specs!

i am really starting to think that the small cups are the main reason that the carta is so much more efficient than the peak. Only reason that I have even touched the peak in the past week is because I like the flavor profile on SiC better than Ti. That said, I have only used my peak 1/5 of the time, with the carta being 4/5 sessions. It just so damn efficient.

Let’s please get that Bluetooth app into peoples hands. There are people I want to show this device to, but I cannot until there is better temperature control. Is that able to be released today?
