    Hello all,
I wanted to respond to something in the VHW thread, but did not want to pollute it with dialogue that is unrelated to the thread so...
Any cooling/filtration should help reduce throat irritation, but if you are interested in a cheap/available alternative for an inline there are options.

    1) Use tubing instead of a down-stem and cut slits/poke holes in it (in this case holes can be better because they can be made so many/small in tubing--compared to glass)

    2) Find glass beads/stones/shapes (they are often in craft stores, fish supply shops, etc.) Carefully fill the water chamber with them (above OR below the water level for more/less diffusion, respectively). To make sure they have no coatings burn the glass beads/stones/shapes AND submerge them in iso (or something) after they cool.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MODIFY OR ADD RELATED IDEAS TO THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DOING SO, BUT PLEASE KEEP CONVERSATIONS TO THE 'FUCKER CHAT' ROOM.

Thank you for the kind words (people's appreciations usually show through their responses and contributions even before they are stated, but I appreciate the sentiments nonetheless :D ) Any success with your non-GonG bubbler compatibility issues? If so, please post in 'Use any Water-pipe!' thread ;)

    Toke it easy

Why is there no responses to this post? How does a diffuser help you in vaporizing?

In this thread, Progress is explaining how to emulate the effect on a budget. Hi Prog.

Thanks. I wanna try, where can I get a good deal on a downstem like that for a 18mm joint? Actually also looking for a 18mm to 14mm converter also, would love to pick up both... God I love vape accessories.

Sucks this Prog cat left. I have read some great posts by him, didn't know. RIP I guess. . . . what happened?

    Hello all!

I was so flattered by the interest people have taken in this thread, and wanted to share another glass beads discovery. When using stemless pieces (like the designs by Toro), one does not have to worry about large beads breaking a down-stem. Therefore it is possible to use large , glass beads/shapes all of the way to the bottom of the tube (I like the star shaped ones).

I feel that the tiny bead set-up rivals any tree system or inline for diffusion. I also feel that the large glass stars scattered with glass marbles in a stemless tube can compete with any of the swiss perc designs (not to mention how much easier/cheaper they are to make and the fact that the diffuser is adjustable based on the pattern in which you stack the beads).

Also, (IAmKrazy2 - "How does a diffuser help you in vaporizing?") this has been discussed by me somewhere on FC (at length). Please search around if interested (I know it can be tough to find shit here, so if anyone comes across it please feel free to link this fucker).

edit: Found them! These two threads (http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=451 http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?pid=17211#p17211) cover a bit about how a diffuser helps when vaporizing (if you read all that is there and have any questions/comments, please feel free to post them in the respective thread) :D

PS: I have not left. The decrease in my posting comes from my brains having less to share than they did in the beginning (when no ideas had yet been posted), as well as some frustration with the management approach of the mods/the slow evolution of site regulations/pollution of threads/etc. However, when it comes down to it, this place is still the house that Carpenter/Creator V built; I like hanging out in it/reading in the library; and Vtac can run the place any way he wants (utilizing the interest of members to keep "club FC" #1 OR ruling like a king who feels that his loyal subjects can leave his kingdom if we don't like how it is run--as well as anywhere in between those two extremes ;) ). I will simply join in when I feel compelled to do so (an DO definitely hope that the site becomes more and more welcoming AND organized, rather than less and less). :peace:

Wow, those diffuser rings sure are different. I'm accustomed to seeing glass beads, but I'm sure those work great all well.
