Hopefully I'll be able to start lamp working soon and create some beautiful glass before Jan 2017. There should be a huge market for it in BC soon.

3 Ways That Canada Is Beating America on Marijuana
Canada and the U.S. might share a border, but the countries are worlds apart when it comes to marijuana policy. The latest developments from Canada's federal legalization plan reveals as much. Let's look at three ways that Canada is beating America on cannabis legalization:

    1. There's a lot more support for marijuana legalization in Canada compared to America.
    2. Canada plans to legalize marijuana nationwide in 2017 and just announced the formation of a federal marijuana task force.
    3. The leaders of Canada and America have different approaches to marijuana policy.

its not really true legislation. The only people selling weed will be the big corp producers that produce the really crappy medical weed. they will be the only ones producing weed. the local craft growers etc. will be sol.. Also they have already said that despencerys are not gonna happen when things are quote legal. You will only be able to buy inferior products sold at the liquor stores will be all. They are just setting themselves for a epic failure. People will keep buying better quality from local growers on the black market instead.

CANADA TO ALLOW MEDICAL MARIJUANA PATIENTS TO GROW CANNABIS
By Associated Press August 12, 2016

That is great news for you FCers in Canada. But # of plants depends on your prescription.
Do Canadian Dr's prescribe an amount in their paperwork?

    @macbill
imo , there is not one MJ user in Canada that has faith
in our Gov. to enact this correctly .

They just did another sweep of shutting down the dispensaries
in our city . They won't concede that , it'll be legal next spring .
Technically it is still VERY illegal to traffic/sell cannabis .

The # of plants allowed is aprox. 5 plants , if your
prescription is 1 gram per day .
That is if you have the ability to grow your own .

They say you can outsource to a designated grower
to harvest your meds . BUT the designated grower
can ONLY grow for 2 patients at a time !!!
How many part-time growers are there ?

7 years ago , I'd applied to Health Canada , to have
an ' Established Grower ' . He would supply me , along
with a list of other patients . He was No amateur .
    Talk about going backwards !

And , all this talk is for " Medical " access only .
They admitted to not having enuf time to properly
    look into ' Recreational ' usage !!!

Will they restrict their access to MJ , by Gov. sponsored
shops ONLY ! ( what about free enterprise ? )
They're going to enforce collecting as much taxes as they
can , to replenish the 3 Billion $ the Liberal Gov. wasted in my province .
ALL of this is still up in the air for discussion , imo .
Trudeau def. screwed things up for the rest of the country
    just to get elected !

They're getting push back from Law enforcement , for
the possibility increase of cases of driving high .
And From Employers for liabilities in the work place .

enuf Rant ... Hitting my Solo ...

Like I said previously all its going to be is the licensed corp growers having the market to their selves All the raiding of the dispensaries is doing is getting rid of the competition. The so called making things legal next year will be a epic failure. People will not pay high prices for low quality irradiated weed . People will instead continue to buy quality product from locally grown black market .

    Well , Looky here .
    Speak of the Devil .
And me and my friend was just talking about renting
some warehouse/storage space to grow our own .
This seemingly looks good , depending on fee charges .
Would it be financially viable and less costly for the patient/user ...

here's part of that email .

    For Tweed,

Though we can't control government policy, we can control what we do with it. To the extent this short-term opportunity allows us, we want to help customers explore "grow at home" outside their home. We'll rent you the space, genetics and supplies, and we'll help you to grow your own plants at our (non-MMPR) facilities. Home grow without your home, only from Tweed.

Make no mistake: in our view, there is no substitute for clean, convenient, quality-assured cannabis at competitive prices. But if you want to grow your own cannabis, Tweed would be proud to assist you in that journey, insofar as the rules allow. Maybe yet another option, from your friends at Tweed.

Here's to Future Growth – in a number of ways.

When you get your paperwork filled out they do put a grams/day allowance, this is with the new MMPR as well as the older MMAR system here in Canada.
The newer MMPR seems as if the allowances are usually around 1g per day.
My MMAR was for 3g per day and my plant limit was 15 plants.
I grew forests for a while and then had so much bud it lasted forever! LOL!
For most people who know what they are doing, 5 plants will be ample!

greetings! i was about to start a post regarding Canadas stance on legalization. glad i did a thorough search. Now lets keep it going, its great to be up to date with the latest information on the topic

Have you ever smoked weed? Answer this question and you could be banned from the U.S.

Banning Canadians from U.S. for life for smoking pot 'ludicrous,' says Goodale

I can't stand the US border crossing. i live in Windsor, next to Detroit so i often see how they act.
dude was going into america into places where recreational use is legal!! but they deny him entry because he honestly admits to having smoked MJ before and after the age of 18 before he received his medical card. Banned for life??! So stupid! that story irks me every time i think about it... i also feel like Canada is not going to make it an easy transition.... we'll see how it goes!

So the US will make Canadians look like criminals to the rest of the world, while the rest of the world watches how it plays out. US is really great but starting to lose some pull.

I am allowed 2g per day, so 60 per month I can order. It's more than enough and it's exactly the right amount if I am using very heavily

Your replies on this thread are sadly typical of the anti-business hippies who just can't accept that cannabis has a huge potential for our economy. The government is legalizing the thing you love, and wow SHOCKER!! There are going to be new businesses popping up, dedicated to selling it! Quit crying and be happy you'll be able to buy and use cannabis legally, with or without a prescription.

BTW, if you think all LP cannabis is "low quality irradiated weed" then you either picked the wrong LP, or are just talking out of your ass. I'd advise you to check out Broken Coast Cannabis, a small LP in Ladysmith BC. Incredible product that would make you shut your mouth about "bad LP weed" forever.

I gotta say man, these guys are expecting that different samples of the same strain are going to have very similar ratios of major cannabinoids. This ignores that different phenotypes exist within strains, that flowers from different plants in the same harvest, or even from different parts of the same plant are gonna test with different percentages, let alone different grows, different phenos, different methods etc.

It is conceivable that two different samples from the exact same harvest of the same plant will give drastically different results. Consider a top cola's resin production vs popcorn at the bottom of a plant. Do you think they're never gonna have more than 4% variation of THC between them?

they are factory sealed containers if the weed is bad its bad. plus the thc levels etc are way off when they had them tested. So I dont see lp weed as even close to being a good product for people to purchase.

@ashtonford We are all going to face different experiences as we all live in different locations, but Naturally your going to have great producers and subpar producers. to say they are all shit when you haven't tried them all is silly.

in that video the cannatonic they compared was from Tilray... Tilray was amongst the first LP's i was able to acquire herbs from. the strains i tried were all quality. Jack Herer, Black Tuna, Skywalker OG, afghani..... The Jack Herer was extremely special. it had all the signatures of true Jack.... If only i still had access!!

Another company i deal with lately is based in BC, CCC. so far their product is all quality. delivered in plastic ziplocks within a plastic case.

I like when i have access to different strains that i'd never normally come across!
i'm going to check out these guys channel, i'd like to see if they tested multiple strains from Tilray.

You keep posting these random youtube videos of hippies telling you what you want to hear, when actual LP patients here are telling you they like their product.

If you get your prescription from a real doctor, they can't tell you what LP you have to choose. No one can tell you where you HAVE TO get your medicine. DO your research on LPs, find the one you think is best, bring that LP's form A to your doctor and tell them "this is who I want to sign up with".
