Brilliant Cut Grinder

I love the hype, but how much herb do you really grind that a new grinder will cause the heavens to open..

For me, it's not a matter of how much herb do I grind but rather what the grind is like when I do grind that small amount of herbs. It's the same thing as quality of bud. While I'm a micro-doser and only take 3 hits every other night, it doesn't mean that I don't want to vape the hightest quality of herbs that I can get my hands on.

yep, I look forward to trying out a varied sized but consistent grinder. My SLX is very good, but it doesn't produce uniform texture.
I was cutting veggies last night thinking that the ideal is to have every piece the same size, so it cooks evenly.

I want the same for my herb, if it's all the same size in the oven, it'll cook more evenly. I think that even cooking will lead to more potency or efficiency. Unevenness tends to lock away pockets of goodness - even the Sub falls victim to this, though it's the closest to fully cooking whole buds I've tried. The experience improves greatly with a nice grind, and I am all for improvement.

I've told manufacturers to make a 3-piece that suits the basic needs of the user. I've seen others make the same suggestions to the same and different companies.

No one told these guys about this, that I know of, they just pitched the right idea with a true passion for making the right thing. They didn't settle on a design revision to cash-out, and they have listened and have been eager to try everything in an effort to improve.
It's not so much that the heavens will open when using this grinder, though I am sure they will sing, for me I just really appreciate that quality is the fundamental criteria at heart. Quality is priceless, and rare.

Not only has Grinders for Life finally brought a sought after design to reality and subsequently attempted to perfect it - they'll also have the first legitimate titanium grinder eventually.
The grinder industry has practically been starved of innovation - this product and brand will have a big impact.

Gotta say, I'm really looking forward to this thing being released. I love the grind on my Kannastor Gr8tr v2 with the fine plate. But the more I use it, the more disappointed I get with it, as expensive as it was... Like I said, the grind itself is great but it gunks up incredibly quickly, especially around the threads. And actually getting everything through the grinding chamber can be a nightmare.

It looks like this thing may solve all of the complaints I have about the Kannastor.

Well I think I must have been sleep-typing when I pm'd you are politely requested that you posted my exact thoughts on this. Thank you for saving me a post when frankly, I never could have said it nearly so well myself. ;)

So Im with you, not a fan at all of the headwork involved getting all the herb through and out of tge Gr8tr. I would certainly like a BC Grinder very much. I bought the Gr8tr because the Newvape Fine Grinder was too much work in particular- getting all the herb out every time neatly.
It basically made for a non enjoyable grinding routine.

The Gr8tr hardly solved that problem. The BC looks very easy and fun to use. Just wish it wasnt such an expense with ship/duties on top.

Thanks for all the feedback.

We're getting closer to the next beta test. After testing the latest version, we're happy with the performance. The next step is to make a small batch and get them anodized. It's been a lot of work to get it to this point, but it's been worth it.

Check it out:

A pile of prototypes that didn't make the cut. With every iteration, we learned something and made the grinder better. We extensively experimented and tested.

Here are some pictures of the latest version before being anodized:

These look amazing, lovely work.

I can't help but imagine the BCG with a super slippery gold Titanium nitride coating all over the inner surfaces.

I love the ceramic coating on my current grinder, and like SiC, TiN is another super tough and simultaneously low friction ceramic finish.
I remember a company that sold mountain bike (and road I think) hubs that went without ball bearings by coating the axle with TiN, which simply ran on the inner surface of the hub shell, which was also Tin coated!
I don't remember how well those bearing surfaces lasted, but if they could endure that level of punishment for even a few hundred miles I'd suggest herb grinding duty would be a breeze!

These ceramics are pretty cool, but I imagine they're expensive to apply, those Goldtech hubs were pretty pricy, among the most expensive at the time:shrug:
The mirror-gold finish would be too much on the outside for my tastes though, and BCG's anodising does look top notch

We are doing one more round of beta testing and we'll send it to more people. Maybe you'll be one of them. :)

I would also be interested to be included in that next round of testers, if possible. Having had experience with the SLX and the Space Case grinders as my "go to", with the Mendo Mulcher and the S&B plastic orange being my other alternative, I'm still looking for the ideal grinder.

Different grinding plates are defo the way to go.

I realize that @Grinders for Life has been very open about having FC members test his grinders, but let's please all remember that we have a rule:

  • Do not ask about being a beta tester or ask about freebies.

Thank you.

Well, I have to say that this latest round of 7075 porn from @Grinders for Life has left me drooling on my iPad! The milling or machining (or whatever it’s called) looks so smooth, I can’t wait to touch that finish.

HGL has demonstrated how to build awareness and excitement for their product without bogus preorders, false hype or throwing out a series of overly-optimistic release dates imo. Making the BCG the best it can be before by having so much real world testing, rather than doing the quick cash-grab and have paying beta testers, just the way they’ve gone about everything here has sold me as much as the grinder itself.

Just sent my email for updates.

As a few other have mentioned in this and the generic grinder thread, I do not want a grinder collection. I have simplified my vaping and haven't used anything other than a VapeCap in quite some time. Looking forward VC + BCG + induction heater and clearing up even more space.

Kinder, die was wollen, kriegen was auf den Bollen!

That only applies to children. ;)
I am 1.94m tall and weigh above 110kg. Whoever tries to get close to my Bollen enters a world of pain. Walter Sobchak style. "You'll see what happens if you feed a stoner with scrambled eggs!" (Or was it: "This is what happens if you meet a stranger in the Alps!"?). It's Bowling. It's the rules!

Haha. Just kidding. Very peaceful guy here. And normally also very well-bred. And I don't fucking drive on Shabbat. So, again: I would love to have one. Pretty please, with cream on top.

Better, Sir? :brow:

I'm really interested to see results from the new teeth design. I love the beta model I have, except for all the twisting I have to do at the end before the last flakey-bits will go down. Other than that, it's almost perfect.

@Dynavaper, 193cm + 93kg. The same reach but probably I'm a bit faster :brow:
My dear, I don't give it a real thought. I like you too much.
Perhaps better a vaporizing competition until consciousness?

Walter is the best! Dude who?
