The v3 is mostly convection with conduction in the form of heat retention in the bowl. You can make this better by using a dosing capsule like stated or using an elbow screen. There are pictures earlier on in this thread detailing that. Both add heat retention to the bowl and provide a pretty good boost in vapor production on the second and so on hits. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If anything, your lungs will get a workout and you'll be stronger for it! Haven't you always wanted to hold your breath like Michael Phelps?
