Boundless Tera

I just pinched mine all around the metal lip to make the diameter a bit tighter so I have to sort of screw the wire gauze part of the top hat filter onto the thread where the standard filter assembly screws on to the wpa.
I have also jammed the top hat filter into a 10mm or11mm or 3/8" socket to tighten it a bit and stop it falling off.

@HughJundys, I only asked about the screen as your picture does not have one in it. You should still get a warranty without your box, just proof of purchase would be needed.

@vaping_is_my_hobby once the Tera is up to temp you should not have to wait, it just takes a little to heat soak the bugger.
The reason why I wanted to wait between hits is to take advantage of the conduction going on in the
2nd 5 min sesh. Or is this not necessary (I take big hits anyway)?
I only take about 5-6 big hits.

I just changed the batteries in my tera but after I turned it on I seem to be stuck in concentrate mode - temp goes up to 500 and the down button won't lower the temp. My previous setting was 370 and it was working fine at that temp. Any help (or suggestions)...? TIA

Tapping the power button 3 times cycles you between herb and concentrate mode.

Thanks - that's good to know - many things are not in the tera docs (as I have mentioned in other posts). In this case I pulled the batteries, reloaded them and started over - all ok now. Or maybe a brain fart...

I'm hoping Boundless has a rep that checks into this forum.

I am trying to get my Tera repaired. I have not received an answer to my ticket. I have set my junk filter to not grab your e-mails. I did receive one of those auto confirmations when I sent the ticket in.

With the recent holiday weekend I know at my place of employment we have had some people out for extended vacation and are trying to play catch up this week. I suspect it is the same with you. I just want to be sure my ticket is being reviewed. If I need to re-submit please let me know. Thank you in advance for your time and attention.

How far should I run my batteries down before recharging? I've read that 30% charge left should be about right but I'd like to know how more experienced users think. TIA

I think %40 is better.. and if you really want to extend life of batteries don't charge above like %70-%80.

I don't care myself since they are easily replaceable and pretty cheap.

Funny thing I was chiding my wife only last weekend because we have all these small appliance boxes in the garage I want to throw out. She insist on keeping them until the warranty on the device runs out.

At $15 a pair for LG HG2 3000mah(Sony VTC6 work the same), I just run them flat too, I do not charge them in the Tera though, I use a Nitecore SC4 for the job since my XTAR died.:2c:
I get 13x 5min at full power with the stock batteries and 16x 5min for the LG and Sony's:tup:

Wow, you actually run them flat? Everything I've read says that's a big no-no.

Flat as far as the Tera is concerned, the Tera cuts the power completely at about 3.2v (per battery), this is getting low but not really flat, Boundless seems to have programmed the device to make your batteries last longer than a lot of other devices (I run my 18650's as low as 3.0v in my homemade IH)
Some people say they are not getting as many sessions with the device when they charge the batteries in the Tera this is also because the Tera does not overcharge them(as some manufacturers do so it sounds like they get better run times(at the expense of short battery life)

Thanks for the Tera info - I did not know that the Tera was preventing me from running the batteries too low. Just one more good thing about this vape. It has rapidly become my favorite. I removed the mouthpiece filter and use S&B capsules with no screen in the chamber. Still draws a bit hard but completely eliminates a lot of the cleanup (except for the mouthpiece which just takes a bit of ISO on a pipe cleaner). I don't charge batteries in the Tera - I have a Nitecore I2 for that job.

I am thinking about grabbing a Tera v3 but not sure as I already have a mighty but I hear this thing really produces clouds and that it rips through water which is how I would most likely use it. If anyone has both a mighty and Tera chime in on if it would be worth grabbing I can get one for 125$ today with the sale on vapornation it's almost worth it just at that pricebut don't wanna grab it then have it sit on my shelf

I have the Mighty and some 15-20 other vapes. I was not going to by a Tera. When it was at $149 over black friday I felt like it was entering what was for me the impulse buy zone. I saw @LesPlenty's posts in here that seemed encouraging so I gave it a whirl.
I'm glad I did. I've been meaning to thank LesPlenty for being so vocal for this product that I was pushed to try it. I use 3 or 4 different devices a day. The Tera is almost always one of those devices. I use it with the WPA and either a jhook or a bubbler of some kind.

At $125 that is ridiculous bang for the buck. I did not know about this sale. It is very tempting to pick up a couple of these to hand out to my smoker friends.

Wow, what a great price, a person would have to be mad to pass one up that price.
I only use my Mighty when out and about, if you like using glass, you will love the Tera..

Can someone tell me how to remove the mouthpiece screen - don't want to destroy it in the attempt...

Thanks in advance...

Just pull the silicon part away from the mouthpiece then squeeze the sides of the silicon and the filter disc should fall out, while it is out, replace it with a mesh filter for a bit better airflow.:myday:

Thanks, Les - what sort of mesh? Like a cutdown 5/8" steel screen (already have one of those in the bottom of the bowl).

That would work, the mesh seems to take longer to block than the standard disc as well.

Morning, I have a question to all that have a Tera. I'm wondering if anyone has vaped hash, and how they did it. I have sandwiched kief before but not sure if it will work with hash. Afghani CBD hash to be exact. It's made from kief and CBD oil. I would like any feed back please. I also have a Fury 2 and Shadow M. I want it to be as smooth as possible though .Tera V3 would be the best way to go? Also any feed back on Ed's TNT blackwood stem for the Tera. Thanks in advance!:leaf:

[/IMG] If anyone is looking for a glass mouthpiece that actually works with the plastic housing instead of just the silicone screen holding piece, then this one works well. It was sold with the Arizer EQ for the bags. It pops right in to the spot that you can slide the tiny glass mouthpiece out of that comes with the tera. Holds securely and gives it some much needed extra length over the original one.
