Best Use of ABV

Hey guys, hows the vapin? havn't been here for a while, but just had a quick question.

Sorry, im sure this has been asked a million times and I'm sure there's another thread on it somewhere, but im on my phone and couldn't find it.

I'll keep it short. I have about 2 ounces of lightbrown /slight shades of green ABV all packed nicely in an air tight jar.

Have a whooole lot of it and I'm just wondering what the best use of this stuff is?

Is it worth trying to extract anything from it? And if so, what is the best way?

well just found the other thread about it, sorry. but if anyone wants to PM me with the best method, id appreciate it! thanks.

With the coconut oil method, I place the abv, with enough coconut oil in a liquid state to cover it, in a small crock pot and simmer it for several hours on the lowest heat setting. It will create an odor, so make sure your kitchen is well ventilated. After its "cooked" I strain it through coffee filters so I end up with a very dark green oil that is solid at room temperature, or refrigerated. Once its infused in the oil you an use the canna oil to cook the same way you would with regular butter or oil. The flavor is relatively mild, but its very potent. For tinctures, you cover the abv in a mason jar with everclear and leave it in a dark but not cold area, shaking it every once in a while, for like 8 weeks. Then strain it through coffee filters and use it as a tincture. I use a ricer to squeeze as much liquid out of it as I can. I follow a recipe similar to this, using abv.....http://beyondchronic.com/2011/01/how-to-make-your-own-canna-caps/

I've often had a hard time getting all the oil, or i actually usually do butter, out of the plant material. So my new method is to just do brownies and use the abv in the brownies.

I do water and butter boiled and separate what butter out that i can (squeezing out the abv and then solidifying the butter out of the water in the fridge). But i never get back most of the butter. So i figure if i just use the butter i am leaving some on the table, The brownies i made with abv were strong and the butter i separated out and used for cookies was good.

so hoptimum you've got to heat the ABV before straining it?

Before hearing your guys' techniques, I was thinking of Everclear alcohol and the ABV in a big capped bottle.. shake it up a whole lot, then strain it, and let the strained stuff dry.
Would that work?

mod note: From the rules page- No bumping.

sup guys

about an ounce more abv later and I still havn't tried anything

but a friend recently brought over and left a bottle of Spirytus "vodka", which is 96% alcohol.

so i have the high % alc, some coffee filters, access to a stove, some pots, and some jars and tupperware and about 2 ounces of ABV and i'm currently snowed in

so I'm looking to try something with this ABV, more for shits and giggles than anything

I don't need to, but am not opposed to using all the abv at once, but I just want to try something with the materials I have now.

The coconut oil method sounds cool so I'm thinking I'll save an ounce of that for another time, and do something with the "everclear" now.

** Is the only resulting product with the "everclear extraction" method going to be a tincture?

And when using the everclear, do you always need to let it sit for weeks before proceeding?

Anyone with any ideas or opinions, please share.

You seem to already have an idea about what you can try. Why not decide on 2-3 different methods and experiment with 1/2 an ounce each and see which one you like best?

there are still specifics pertaining to the alcohol extraction method that I am wondering about -

- does any everclear extraction method require leaving it to sit in a jar and being periodically shaken for weeks?

- do all everclear extraction methods yield only a tincture?

- is this tincture drank or taken in drops? Wouldn't cooking with it be the best option?

- and can a tincture be left out on a plate, have the alcohol evaporate and then yield a dry concentration to be used in cooking or what not?

But I like it!
You could google QWET, or basically using your high test polich vodka to wash the abv. But it'll taste like forest fire! Unless you waterpurge it, which I've never done - too much work when it makes great cocobudder...

Measure two grams of avb and then just make firecrackers with it. I got a buttload of avb, like 4-5oz flowers vaped. Which is probably 3 oz of avb then.
