Ok I'll give that I try, I liked the way it was hitting on the tennis court before I gave it to Mike, lol. I can hit it 3 - 5 times out of my tennis bag as I change sides or share a quick hit with my lesson. It's easy to pass & hit on a tennis court & so stealthy & good looking on a brushed gold pico with small low profile gold heat sink
(My Heat sink tip spread big on reddit - No More broken bowls when switching att's by those who took advice - so many bad pics up there of cracked quartz bowls )
Wish I could find one smaller than 18mm a 15mm who look cool!

The Sai's Quartz buckets , the way I use them as Low Temp Dab home enail station .
Don't look or feel right outside as a half full bucket of boiling hot oil is hard to keep level
outside in Las Vegas sun, lol. The lil ccell on a rope around my neck is stealthy and gets the job done, but the Mole hits so much nicer for the quick hit outdoors. Got a nice padded zipper compartment in my tennis bag that's thermal foil cooled fits perfect in.

Yeah I was so taken by the idea of a 3 second heat up quartz bowl, I definitely overlooked some of the RDA fidgeting needed for this device lol. I don't mind tinkering a bit so I think I'll be alright but I know it will be a deal breaker for some as I've got family that can barely work a box mod.

Yeah, it does kind of suck that they advertised the quartz crucible option before the kinks were worked out. That's what drew me in as well. I just happened to love using the bare coils, much to my surprise.

I think I've been pretty lucky with mine so far. I forgot what a pain in the ass coils can be to work in Temp Control. On the Sai bucket, it didn't really matter much, since the bucket was heated indirectly. Of course, that meant the temp control wasn't very accurate either.

It's funny. I don't think I'd suggest this to a vapor newbie. But when I have combusting friends over, they'll use the Mol'. But I could never get them to like the TAF Sai. Getting them to warm up the bucket for a few seconds, then slowly hit it over 10 seconds was a non-starter. They'd rather just get an instant hit from a cartridge, or dab rig.

The Molecule can give you full, instant hits in a few seconds. But I doubt the uninitiated friends would keep up with the maintenance on the thing.

Ok I restrumed mine after I got it back per Florduh suggestion and it's back to .386 so he didn't fuck it up, lol. Hit's great again. heres some interesting back & forth from creator

Althonse 2 points 22 hours ago

Okay so I just got mine and the quartz cup is a tad loose. The only thing that holds it down is the coil? Also you said this might cause it to break if dropped? Someone else was saying they intentionally left theirs loose because they thought the extra play prevented it from cracking as easily.

This video shows that the housing shouldn't screw past the base, if it does than it's possible yours is defective and we'll replace it! The videos on our site are intended to show you how to properly use it. If you don't use it as designed your results will be unfavorable. I.e. broken quartz. I leave a little play in the quartz so it can move in the event of a hard tilt of the top cap. If the quartz can't move or flex when you tilt the top, it will snap from the leverage being applied. With just the slightest amount of play it can move and not snap when you pull the top cap with a tilt. The other thing I advise is to always warm up the device anytime you take it apart as described in the manual.

May be the 510 pin issue you mention in the email, it's a pico. Either way I have a mm of outer thread regardless of being screwed in, I can post if you want. Even if that's just my or a few molecules...you say the problem is tilting the cap to remove it, can't we get shorter buckets or a different cap option? I need to warm it up and pull straight out? I just got some buckets today going to see how it goes I'll post back.

It's totally possible to get a defective one! If it's threading past the base where it hits the quartz, the Molecule is defective and we'll replace it. Most likely to be the quartz though as that material shrinks to it's finished size and if the tempering is slightly off it can cause the quartz to be outside of the tolerance range.

Sorry I totally missed the last part. The new AFC as well as the new batch of Molecules have an updated top cap that makes hitting the quartz far more unlikely. Yeah just warm it up and then use a slight circular rocking motion as you pull up, try not to tilt too much when doing it but if there is a little play in the bowl, and I mean very little play. Where the bowl can slightly move but is mostly secured to the base by the coil, this should protect you a little from over tilting. The new top caps don't extend into the quartz as far and also have more taper along the edge by the quartz.

people have been breaking them with dab tools when and when they're not hot.

update I want to correct something, and I apologise, I don't believe I've seen anything more than chips really. it's from when you put stuff in, heat it up to melt it, then while removing the tool it hits the edge

I didn't make it up man. it's happened to me with a dab cup and butane (cheap Chinese ones)

unfortunately, the reddit search engine (at least my app) doesn't seem to search beyond 2 levels deep of a comment.

                  so like I searched

                  "They have? Show me."

using quotes forces the search engine to search an exact phrase, instead of a word. it can be demonstrated to function if you search a couple words of a title or one comment deep, but anything else it doesn't seem to search.

I didn't save any comments, because, again I'm not "following" the molecule.

edit and I'm using a regular banger as an example, but I don't blame that; simply because they're a larger and thicker and stuff.

Nobody has broken the Molecule quartz with a dab tool. Another false claim by the professional Molecule hater. Where there's love, hate is bound to follow. You can keep trolling and making stuff up, whatever floats your boat, but I'll continue to call out your BS when I see it.

I just said, I don't think broken ones; chips.

ok. be in opposition to me, even though I recommend the molecule when appropriate (a few posts back, not the first).

edit also, I NEVER lie. I find it absolutely abhorrent, and am the worst liar. like I play poker online and do well but in person I would lose every hand.

That "cieje" person on Reddit is legitimately insane. They don't even own the Molecule because they have mobility issues that would make using it difficult. Yet, they harrass the AVS owner on every thread. It's bizarre.

I think the Quartz bucket is delicate, but as long as you're just somewhat careful, you'll be fine. @tennisguru1 you have some great tips as well.

You finally have the Best now the Quartz Crucible & you think it's delicate.
I get full 15 to 25 seconds Enail type hits every time with the most awesome
thick white vapor. The cups are not blown quartz as the ones that came with
the mole also, their way thinner than my banger ones because lamo's can't wait 5 - 8 seconds for a primo hit, so they made the new ones thin to heat in 3 - 5 seconds.
They look pressed together on the bottom & heat instantly but don't burn.
I have friends that are clueless that drop by also, don't waste my time telling the pen heads & combustors anything, just hand the a load with a glob on a Kantrall Coil watch the cough their brains out and their happy, cool for them and their expectations.
It's much harder to please a conorsiour who has knowledge & experience and understanding of science &
TCR stands for Temperature Coefficient of Resistance and is a sub category of Temperature Control. Although they are made to basically do the same thing, there is a major difference between the two. ect...
So I don't look to educate the ill informed, if they have real interest they'll catch up eventually or drop to there level. I am on the VapeDonkey path of Excelsior!!!

I feel for peeps that can't or don't have the patience to dial in their experience
but water seeks it's own level, but that has little to do with you & me who are trying
to get a better high with less product for longer, lol.
So I or you can't account for the mindless backwards vaping habits of our
occasional visitors , but I need not go backwards in the years I spent on the
cutting edge of price vs performance. Most of my buds that drop by get stoned,
but my good long time friends needs no words they get High!

Anybody ordered from Europe(Spain)? What description is on the customs papers?

And are the quartz buckets (or titanium if such thing exists for the molecule)already available?

The thread has become pretty 'complicated' to me because several rdas are being discussed and compared. So, sorry if my questions come of as stupid, just want to have these things clear before ordering ...

I do know for sure I will want an insert, or bucket as they are also called sometimes, so my concentrate is never in touch with the heating element.

My daily driver at home is a cca710 liger with SIC insert, and a 710coils quartz banger, to give you an idea of what I am used to at home, and what I want to be able to replicate while out and about.

I'm sorry about confusion in thread, totally my fault as having both & evaluating
strengths & weakness at same time other atty was released.
The Quartz Insert Cups that came with my Mole were basically complimentary
from the creator of the Molecule as he said he is now redisning them and will send me new design when it is solidified, for FREE! Best coil powerhouse atty I ever used.
Just order the whole kit it was so inexpensive with cups $33 total w 2 inserts.
They are great peeps and made a revolutionary vape.

You probably want to wait until the revised quartz cup is released and more opinions are formed. It's pretty much all direct coil hits right now.

What was the resistance reading before you re-strummed? I really wanna try it in TC mode, I think I'll pop in a new coil and see how that fixes things if I can't get this coil reading in TC. I did a few pulls in wattage mode but I'm not a huge fan of VW for atomizers like these.

When he gave it back to me it was at .465 now it's .386 and working nice as a coil
ever has for me, nice design, I hope the Quartz Inserts kill also.

It's going to really have to be spectacular to move me off this Quartz Crucible
5 grams now & getting better? I wonder where Florduh found Sai QC colis, my buddy tried to find them, says they are out world wide. Wish Puffitup would get them in
with some spare heaters, getting nervous need my quartz dabs.

Yes I am loving it, it was so hard to explain the Amount & Quality of the Vapor.
It starts putting out thick white vapor in 3-4 seconds & I'm working on increasing
the Vortex without cooling Vapor to much as some point kills the Steady Stream.
The Video doesn't do it Justice really, as i am not on of those paid youtube clowns
who blow out big clouds, I swallowed mine down for 25 seconds and blew it out
    my Ass, lol.
The Sai with good TCR#'s & QC & TI cups is the BEST LOW COST all around portable .
At around $33 + $12 you have both Quartz Crucible, Ti Skillet & A 10mm donut to vape
off straight away, just close top air and open button holes. I use the superior flat plate heater that comes with the QC for both insert cups & have a spare donut to play with.

PS (In chatting with the Mole creator last night (he ia also working on a new design
for his Mole cups) It seems we along on the same ride, and developing similar ideas .
The Molecule and its Creator are Awesome and the future of safe vaping is looking good.

I disagree with the sai being a better and cheaper option than the mole. Granted I have not tried the quartz yet but I just can’t really se how it can beat this little puppy. But the video is nice..this mole with the tiniest piece of wax will blow as big cloud as anything with good flavor and that’s just stock. But this is the mole thread so we can do the comparison elsewhere but nice video for sure.

Please don't go there, as I used .05 measure in cup as test ammt.
That was 2 30 sec hit of 3 30 second pulls, lol.
As your lying will show you as I have ran same amounts thru
both with my test globes, you get what you sees.
Just because Saionara peeps in China are lame as most have no clue
how to run their own products in TC mode, hahaha.
It's up to us to maximize it.
Look I have both and have fixed even the Ti Skillet so it hits just
like my Video only thicker & faster & cooler than everything that I have seen.
I have been using that heater design with superior top airflow way before
china & hvt were still using donuts. I just did my tests with same flat plate
heater. Same as Mole did with flatter coils, more surface even heat.
I love the Mole as it's creator, who I consider a bud I collaborate with as a tinkerer.
wait till you see where the Mole is headed, but wake up the Sai with real TCR#'s
and QC is already there at a $33 price point for what your eyes sees or does it?

Cool so awesome new fun this morn as the new heater has gone to a new level.
I'm getting awesome results even with Ti Skillet. So much better than Donut as heater
Can't even get the heaters, out of stock everywhere in the world.

They went pretty quick, but more are already in the way too. I have a lot of wholesale customers who bought them by the hundreds.

Yeah I haven't actually got my hands on the Sai Quartz bucket yet.

I think I'm waiting for whatever the AVS quartz solution is first. Apparently they managed to heat both the bottom and sides of the quartz. This would prevent oil from climbing up the walls.

But I kind've agree with you. I'm very satisfied with the instant, tasty hits the Mol coils give.

I'm not sure. I do know they mentioned off-gassing tests getting done, but I haven't seen them yet. I do know AVS's SS316L is well regarded for safety in the e-cig world. They are touting safe materials on the whole device, but I don't know if it's been independently verified.

Man I just cannot get this thing to work in temperature control at all, tried two mods, two coils, re-strumming, I've tried adjusting coil material in Arctic Fox from everything to SS, manually inputting the TCR for stainless steel, TFR 316, TFR 316L, etc.

Honestly I'm not loving this device yet, even with oiled O rings I find the mouthpiece pretty hard to get off for loading - when I first got the device I spent like 10 minutes trying to confirm if the top even came off it was on so snug. The top o ring is getting caught every time I try to put the mouthpiece on, whether I twist it while inserting or not, leaving an air leak in the top that rarely seems to seal.

Tried using it in VW but it's just not impressive to me, too easy to overcook the oil in power mode. I really want to try TC before I get any more opinions formed but have not yet figured out how. Is the problem my resistance in the .5 ohms? Does that signify a short somewhere? The only thing I haven't done yet is flash a mod to stock firmware to see if it's just Arctic Fox, I doubt it as all my other gear works fine but I'm seriously stumped, not sure what to do but try another coil install? I cleaned my 510 ports with ISO, I swear I'm trying out here!

It's possible .5 ohms means there's a short. But also, I tried the Mol on a eVic Dual when I first got it. The ohms read close to .5. On my eLeaf Pico it read .39 so I stuck with that.

It is possible your mods are just reading it higher, and maybe TC would still work locked at that resistance. If two different coils both are reading that high, maybe that's just how your mods are reading it. But that definitely sounds high.

On the mouthpiece, I had the same experience at first. After oiling the o-rings and pulling it on and off a bunch over the past few weeks, it seems to have broken in nicely. I can pull it on and off with no trouble.

I don't think flashing stock firmware is worth it. Have you tried installing a new coil? If so, maybe try locking it at whatever the ohms are reading. I usually look at the "live resistance" at room temp, and lock it at the lowest reading I see.

Something like that, around TCR 88-92 or so, I can't remember because I just had to actually revert to stock firmware for it to work? Nothing was working in Arctic Fox. That sucks since the stock Joyetech TC is not near as good but at least I got to see it heat up quick and actually give off a pull. Really not sure why I had to go through all these hops unless there is a bug in my older AF profile, might try the very lastest AF build later and see if that does something, I recall having similar TC issues at one point with my W9 KISS carts as they would do the same, instantly going into Temp protection so maybe AF is the issue?

I switched it over to my Primo Mini, screwed the housing off, then unscrewed the atomizer base and the it slipped right out of my hands and bumped off my night stand and shattered the quartz bowl! Gave it a rebuild (so glad AVS includes the spare parts that they do) and it's reading .24 on the Primo Mini and .54 on my Evic basic, seems like a strange gap but I'll keep tinkering. It's just now starting to work, but my battery is dead  more testing soon.
