Nah, I just sent them a message about this, so they can warn everybody who has a stealth now and future owners, but I'm not going for a replacement or anything, this thing still works as great as ever. and a
few wrinkles won't change my mind.

    @KidFated :
I don't have a solo (yet) but I can say that my ascent can keep up with the pax when it comes to vapor production, in all honesty I must tell you that I use cotton and this made a HUGE difference for me.
The pax gives lots of vapor, no doubt about that, and it can deliver really fast but the ascent can keep up longer, battery life is much better than pax, stealth a little bit less, and taste...wel.... hahahahahaha

Taste better in ascent? I hope you're using organic cotton. I think ill be getting this as long as it has good taste and production.. Have you tried just flowers with no filled? Hard pack? Loosely?

Out of curiosity, was this when the bowl area was still hot?

yes, the taste is "multipass" times better than the pax and I tried it all, loosly, packed, half, full, flowers...
cotton is the way to go for me (yes, organic cotton) I must say that I vape on high temps, 430 with the ascent, orange than red on pax...so if you want info on big clouds on lower temps I guess somebody else can help you better than me.

@Smknbud : no, the device was not used for +4 hours so cold

Sorry that it happened to you, but it's also appreciated that you shared that info.....I'm also a clean freak junkie and iso clean my Ascent all the time. I'll keep it to the bowl and rubber parts for now on.

Lately, I've been measuring every load. I put a small square of paper, folded on the diagonal, and tare the scale. (old chemistry habit) You don't have to weigh, but the folded paper makes an excellent "funnel" to pour the product in. As the fold is on the diagonal, I have no trouble working with in the space around the bowl.

Also, for "no handed" work, the DV rep pointed out to me that the device will PERFECTLY balance hanging of the (squared) edge of a table. I wouldn't do it on any table that isn't over carpet, as I'd be afraid to knock it over. I see someone else has discovered a tuna fish can is about the right height. I have some kind of hand-thrown pottery dish (I don't know what to call it... a candy dish??) that I dump my ABV and glass flowers into that happens to be the exact height to support the Ascent for loading.

In terms of the screens, there is no instruction for them as they are completely optional. I for one, don't want to introduce the metal into the path, and have never taken mine out of the bag.

Really? I was rather skeptical about the whole grinding thing ("Ya damn kids keep your grinders offa ma lawn!") until dreamerr gifted me one. I was convinced the old fashion "tear with hands and cut" would be just as good, until I tried grinding.

Oh, shit! Thanks for the warning. I'm sorry that happened. :(

I suspect that it won't be an issue with the Croc (leather) nor with the Burl (Printed Al).

I don't know that DV would be inclined to send just a panel out (Most companies don't want customers doing repairs), but perhaps, due to the whole shipping issue, you might convince them to make an exception?

    Ha! :) :) :) That's the spirit! I like the attitude!

PAX wins in size, but that's about it. In taste, batt life, ease of maintenance, efficiency, etc, I think the Ascent is miles ahead. People claim the PAX is more stealthy, but then again, due to its popularity, it is much more recognizable, which kinda works against it.

Can someone give me the phone number for DV?

Mine was working fine everyday for 3 weeks and then yesterday it won't heat up without being plugged in and it wont charge anymore but doesn't charge when plugged in and in use. It has a half battery left but will die and not charge anymore.

I loved it until then but under a month lifespan is unacceptable qc and product qualification.

Thanks in ahead for the proper phone number.

    It was a stealth.

I'll edit this post with the serial number later but I didn't order it til the end of October if that helps for now.

Were you able to fix it? To me it seems like a software issue as it works sometimes but not others.

Did you have to get a replacement? I paid overnight shipment for my original one and would really want them to ship m replacement overnight as well.

Last night it still charged while in use plugged in.

Today it only heats up with plugged in but doesn't show it as charging. This tells me the adapter should be working and that something in the unit itself is malfunctioning.

Still in the process. They received it on Thursday. As yet I haven't received notice that they have shipped me a new one.

That's a bummer. I'm really hoping they'll ship my replacement overnight since I paid the extra 30 initially.

Let me know how it goes. There should be a way to hard reset these to clear out anything that might be in memory and factory reset it.

Thanks guys :) how're y'all finding the battery? Mine seems to go down to 3/4 during my first session after charging, then down to 1/2 two or three sessions later. I haven't had it run out yet, but unless the last 1/4 lasts one hell of a long time I can't see it beating my pax for out-of-the-house vaping.
