I don't recall seeing DV mention a price, but my guess is around $300 or so. Just a total WAG, though. Regardless, I'll buy the shit out of it if it performs well.

I've completely reversed myself on the grill design. Now I think it looks great.

Edit: Went back to look and now I see why. It has been revised from the original picture that prompted my comment. Much sexier in the video.

I noticed that as well. It looks very slick in the video version.

I'm more giddy for this than I was for the Cloud! Seriously can't stop replaying that video...the music is just sick!

I love looking forward to vaporizer releases like this! And it's just soooo much sweeter with DV's presence here, especially because he actually listens to us and addresses all of our points.

Okay, I gotta listen to that tune again now....such a sick promo vid!

i hope not.... i am really hoping for a $250 price point or less. i know it's only a difference of $50 bucks but i really could use that extra $50 in my pocket

Yes... I would say that over $300, including batteries and charger, it would be expensive.

I certainly do not know about production costs but I would think twice before buying if price is over $300...manufacturers should think about VAS patients and their suffering wallets :ko: ...

A FC discount would be great as well directly from them so we don't have to go elsewhere.

Yup, should be good. Will probably buy a few months after release when the bugs are sorted out. I made the mistake of buying the Pax within the first few weeks, ended up selling it.

I agree this thing looks great. I cant wait to see some videos of it in action. Next on my list is this if it performs well or a log vape (possibly a e-nano).

    Another question for the manufacturer:
    In gotvape page, I read:
    • Premium grade materials (real wood, real carbon fiber, croc skin)
    • Pure vapor path
    • 4 hour battery life
    • Removable li-ion batteries
My question is ... real wood? and specially real croc skin?
I like the first thing, not so much the second. Anyway I think I'd go for the black carbon fiber one, just curious.

    Bye!!

I believe that is out of date info.

They have stated in this thread that there was an issue with the wood drying and cracking. They said they had to resort to a printed texture. (Unless they solved the problem).

The did say croc skin, and some people objected (and others said they didn't care). Don't know if they decided to pursue that.

I would presume the video displays the final decision on the models.

EDIT: Just looked at the video and it looks like the croc skin is in it, but don't know if it is faux or not.

Anyone think this will be as powerful as the Extreme Q? I just purchased it, even though I have been waiting for the Ascent. I figured because the Ascent is portable, it won't produce very thick clouds compared to a desktop vape.

I doubt it. If it hits like the Q is able to then it will be the best portable by far.

I don't see why not. I think the Solo produces denser clouds than the EQ, but that's just my opinion. Don't let "portability" fool you....take a look at some of the Solo, Inhalater, and MiniVap vids on here.

My experience has been that the EQ kicks much more than the solo or inh.

Edit: But to get back on topic... with its glass air-path, I wonder how flavorful the Ascent's vapor will be.

if it's a convection unit it should taste pretty good all the way through!

forgive me if i missed this...

have we asked about a 14/18mm GonG adapter straw possibility ?

do we know if the units functionality is affected when it's inverted ?

drooling over this....can't wait to see it in action !

This is speculation, but as the unit is supposedly mostly convection, it shouldn't matter too much if the material is at the bottom of the bowl or at the top of the bowl on the screen.

And if the bowl is packed, then there's no difference (as nothing can shift if it is full).

Only semi-related side note: I know some units benefit from having material ground, while others not so much. Anyone care to speculate if this unit is grind-agnostic?

I ask in part, as inverting the unit, will put material on the glass "screen", and I'm just not sure how large the holes are.

Cool idea, as long as it can still tuck away inside though...
