Ascent Vaporizer by Da Vinci

Does anyone know if the Ascent is conduction or convection based? There seems to be a lot of conflicting info on that subject.

I think it is made to work as a convection based unit, but only pratical use will tell.

Yes but it has conduction just like most do. It is similar to how the DV worked from what I understand. We have a lot of combo vapes as I call them leaning towards convection.

Or how much for extra glass stem sets? I'd ideally want 2-3 sets anyways to make cleaning chores less frequent alone.

I think the DaVinci folks said they wouldnt do preorders they want to get it right before they sell it.

I don't think most can handle Pre-orders well. Most have seen how that goes, I'm sure DV will make the decision they feel is right. Regardless I won't be pre-ordering this time, might be a good idea for them to stick with perfecting it first before an angry stoned mob starts hassling them. If people are given a date, and it's a day late, it'll spread like rapid fire. If people don't know a date, or put up money for a supposed release date, then people can patiently wait.

Now I am not speaking for everyone, there is some very patient people on the forum, I have learned I clearly should not be Pre ordering anything.

But that's not to say I won't purchase the Ascent, it looks great, seems like it should work well, good reviews on the last DV, and looks stellar.

Can't wait to see some more info and reviews on this bad boy.

IIRC, they said they didn't want to announce preorders until they were absolutely sure of release date.

For the last device it looks like they took pre-orders, then made some last minute changes to the device, and people got upset the date slipped.

So, I think that is what they are avoiding. I don't think they said they wouldn't do pre-orders -- they just were to wait until they have a rock solid date.

Did they give an idea of how expensive it will be?

Nope...they more then likely won't announce anything till March is my guess. I think the expected release was April or later.

I'm pretty sure the expected release IS march. I may be wrong tho.

All they said is spring and March is not spring to me but who knows. Honestly I expect May cause issues always come up.

Yep that sounds like an announcement to me. I doubt they will be selling it in March but we will see. Only time will tell.

When the manufacturer gets the time, I would like to know if there are any plans on accessories such as cases, cleaning kits, or glass accessories like GonG adapters whether now or in the future?

I am wondering if there will be a car charger for it?

Didnt they say it'll charge off mini or micro USB? If so then a simple USB adapter in your lighter/power port will suffice.
