I've got one that has been going 18 months like that, mainly at 13.8V. It's a damn good vape.

On another note I keep hoping to hear that the case against Rick has been dropped, the threat of seizure rescinded and his property returned. A man builds some vaporizers and sells these innocuous items made of wood and steel and ceramic to medical patients in California and elsewhere (earning plaudits in the medical community), and this becomes a pretext for greedy drug warriors to to seize his home and property? After they swoop in commando style and scare the crap out of sweet, non-violent people? I can hardly believe this is happening in the United States. This glaring injustice cries out for redress.

NewVape

What a guy!
^ Me too. We haven't heard from him since, what February? I'm hoping that's just because his lawyer advised it or something like that.

And yes it is a damn good vape, I'm glad I was able to pick up a second one through the classifieds. I'm always keeping my eye out for another one as a second back up. You know Just in case.

Yeah I managed to get a backup from Blissville which I keep stored away. I haven't really been following the latest in the log vape area but I believe a couple of makers are sort of going along the same lines Rick was headed... What's the closest new model to a Rockzap, I wonder?

Yeah, if I were his lawyer I would advise him to avoid any public comments till after it gets sorted out. The whole thing really gets to me and has radicalized my thinking about the drug war somewhat. This is no longer an abstraction. Injustice is being perpetrated against someone I know, and whom I know to be a fine and generous person. If he is penalized, that would be for services rendered to me among others. My doctor suggested using such a device. It's legal. I grok a wrongness.

I have 5 Old School Zaps that have been running for almost 3 years... 24/7
I did add rings to all of them, to keep them snug.
I have 2 Old School Zaps that have been on 24/7 for 19 months.
All vape as they did on day one

I ordered a vvps power cord from Underdog on thursday and it arrived today, saturday. Way to go Underdog! The construction is pretty much identical to one I got from Aromazap for a Hildebrandt tattoo variable power supply. Nice to have an extra on hand as I have been using the original for about a year. Eventually it's got to break from all the flexing.

totally, like weeks of soaking, rinsing with hot water, blowing through them with water, scraping lightly with needles. I don't want to get too aggressive scraping the screen because I've heard these screens can pop out and you need a kit to reset them. the airflow is serious impaired, by like 50% or more on both of my stems. Its frustrating because I can remember how they hit when they were new and clean, and while I'm still getting vapor its just not as satisfying.

Was that 70% iso? Might need 91 or 99 + poking/scraping while wet with the ISO.

We have been gone for quite awhile. FC is not a regular tab on our browser these days.
We are fine, getting geared up for a super year with the farm.
I will have some news to share after the weekend as we have a court appearance this week. We are still very early in "the game" but we have played a very good card, officially. Soon, we will get to see what "the officials" have to say about our latest play.
We are now well over eight months from the invasion of our property. This is the way the game is played in the WOD when they are dealing with the little peripheral bugs caught up in the war.
I will try to get some info on replacement stems at least out soon but I also have to deal with the ongoing legal reality affecting our family. That reality is the State of Idaho closed up our shop on 7/25/12 AND put a big hammer to our heads. The irony is they probably spent more on us than.............than anyone can imagine.

Hang in there Rick, a lot has changed in the WOD for the last 8 months, for the better. :)

And Gunky, the US are a great country in many many ways, but injustice in the name of money and interests are kind of what US government does on a daily basis, whether to its fellow citizens or others that have nothing to do with them.

Evo Morales, the president of Bolivia, has said publicly that the US should stop the WOD and they should stop pressuring other countries to do the same. And i think Mexico's president has said something along the same lines.

glad to hear it Rick, I regret selling my MZ to a friend of a friend. needed cash at the time and I had a spare PD. Now the e-nano may be their replacement (for me at least).

We had our court appearance, even as scheduled! Much of our experience has been on again/off again going through the legal system. Our hearing last week was on, then off, then on, then who knows, then on. So I put on my "only for court" slacks, shirt and shoes and waddle in to the big official building.......Pat along side so we each have our best buddy for support.
The hearing went well in that we finally got to hear just a little of what "the other side" thinks of all this craziness. We have filed a motion to suppress the search warrant and it will be debated in about a month. The beauty of the motion is that we have several different arguments for suppression, any of which would be cause to suppress. Rebuttal to our arguments, which are all supported by case law will be interesting. So far, prosecution is saying our suppression motion should be heard.
At this point it is "the State" after us but there are two different branches of government involved. The executive branch(ISP) did the investigation (based on lies and legally stale evidence), requested the search warrant(from Judicial branch) and did the bust. follow up reports, etc. Then it went to the Judicial branch, the ones delegated to "do justice". Prosecutors actually take an oath to do justice. Prosecuting a case is not their first priority, in theory at least.

Now a quick WOD lesson from our experience.
When we were invaded and under at least a half dozen assault rifle gunpoints, I was given my Miranda warnings with all the bullshit that went with it. "Anything you say can and will be used against you, you do not have to talk, you get to talk to a lawyer, etc, etc" OK, OK, my lawyer and all lawyers advise do not talk or at least very minimally. The reason is LEO(especially in the WOD?) does not record what you say. When it comes time for their "report" they say whatever they want AND they say whatever they want YOU to say. Your words do not really matter as they mix lies with fabrication and small dabbles of truth. If there is ever any doubt, who you gonna believe jury? The good guy cop or the scuzzball lowlife druggie? I can just imagine the occasional WOD rookie 'warrior' asking a question about integrity, etc in their training. The answer comes back immediately. "This is a WAR. The other guys are BAD guys. We must do whatever we can to win this war. Period. Now go do 100 push-ups"

When you say nothing, they must report that and they then cannot fabricate what you say.

We also want to report being in the first stage of trying to get some Zap stem replacements happening somewhere, somehow. I will keep you posted on that one.

Their Truth's are based on lies.
Truth can only be known by experience, never by beliefs or thoughts.
Our truth's are based on experience.
Experience emits much energy...
on your behalf.. with the energy of all here who read this, I reject
their lies... their dark force.
These things will diminish in the light.
I call on all who love Rick to join and provide energy.
It does not matter if you have total faith in the way of the Universe...
Reject their lies with me!

god damnit, just knocked my zap off of the couch arm and the replacement tip on the transformer snapped where it plugs in to the unit. Anyone know where to get a heavy duty long corded transformer? I want one that I wont have to replace the tip after too much wear. Maybe that's too much to ask lol.

I havnt been around as much as I was once upon a time.

I just wanted to share the two zaps I consider myself very lucky to have. The old with all the burl is at least 3-4 years old and is going strong. No new clips added. It does rattle, but not an alarming amount, and I have never noticed a problem with performance, so if it aint broken dont fix it:2c: The lighter one is a new CRZ. I love both dearly. My only regret is that I never got a "out on a limb" piece.

Thanks for your concern for others, while you're in the midst of so much.

Does anybody have a line on some short gong connecting stems for the Zap? Thanks for any help.

I seem to have mysteriously lost my "shorty" GonG stem for vapor bonging, anyone know if it is still possible to order something like this from anywhere?

Also, if i wanted to get a VVPS and the required adapter cord or whatever for my Zap, what would be the best place to order from?

Thanks :)

Been gone a long time.
We lost round one. Motion to suppress the search warrant denied. We may appeal but for now we are on to some negotiations over the next month or so.
Farm is doing better than ever and we all are getting into serious planting and other prep work for a very busy season. We added a 20 x 48 year round high tunnel this year(besides (2) 12x 60 footers we have always had) to extend our growing season and give us year round veggies for the family. Mike cares for 5 kids most of the time now and three are teenagers. They eat like crazy!

For those who need stock replacement stems(nylon with SS tip) for your AZ, good old Dave from Underdog is now making them and has them available on his website. http://www.underdogvapes.com/
Thanks much Dave for helping AZ customers besides taking care of your customers so well! I've been using a UD for many months since the Policia took every Zap we had last July 25th. UDs work very well. I leave mine at 13 volts 24/7.
