Yes, Cotton/Hash/Cotton. Sometimes I use the cotton from a q tip I've swirled in my stem to get it gooped up in stem hash oil too...

12 volt power @ 1000 mA on the stock solo charger.
Now if i were to use a 12 volt @1200mA would that hurt the Solo in any way?

I'm pretty sure that's what happened to the people using psp chargers. The voltage was right but the output was 300-500mA to high

VB, I understand it differently. I thought that the PS3 (is it really psp chargers?) could not run
for long periods at their stated max load. I believe that the info on a power supply is its max capability
over a short period of time. As they were running just above their max limit for a long time they over heated
and melted. I also dont think that providing a little more power to the solo would cause any issue, the solo
would just use what it needed and your power supply would be less efficient.
Dont quote me on any of this though. Just the collected musings of a guy on the internet.

i was curious because a friend misplaced his charger.

At best buy they have a 12 volt @ 500mA
(which the guy said wouldn't charge the battery)
And a 12 volt@ 1200 mA
(which he stated would charge the battery)
Now my friend was using his variable car charger and it is rated @ 1200mA and it did charge the Solo. Was just curious if it would do any damage.

I thought it was a slim ps2 power adapter?

Frederick, you might be right, I cannot remember due to the success I am having with my solo!!
I will do some testing over the xmas break to see exactly what is needed to charge and use this bad boy.
I will then see if I cannot update the wikivape solo page.
@ Al, As I dont know the exact needs of the solo re power I prefer not to comment but just remember that
the numbers on the label of any power supply are for the max load / current for a short period of time. If either
the solo or PS heat up too much or quickly then stop there and then, When I charge and use my solo the battery
area on the case gets nicely warm to the touch but never 'hot'...

when selecting a charger you need to select the correct voltage coz higher than required voltage could damage your device, however current rating indicates the load it can sustain. So in in a nutshell higher current than equipment rating doesn't harm your device as long as the voltage rating is the correct one for your device.

^^^I think the mA is what can cause problems.

EDIT: Oh lord, how I missed the PVHES !!! I just vape some lovly Mango Haze with the PVHES GoNG and my wonderful HY showerdome, man what a lovly pack of thick clouds, I was really coughing... oh I missed this ... lets see how long I survive without breaking it.

So what your saying is as long as its 12 volts it should be fine?
And the 1200 mA is fine too?

Either way I told him I would just buy a replacement charger made for the Solo.

Now a stem question.
Should I go with the PVHE 4 hole or turbo?
Im looking to get the 14 mm GonG and also the bent stem turbo or no turbo?
And do i really need the stealth stem if Im getting the GonG?

I ordered a PVHES 14mm Turbo a few days ago, which I plan on using both via mouth and via glassware, eliminating my need to buy a bent. For me, I chose the turbo version because PlanetVape produces them 100%, and they have better tolerances during manufacturing, so you get a better fit than the Arizer/4Hole version.

The stealth stem is up to you, but you could just use the 14mm GonG as a mouthpiece instead of the stealth. If you do decide you want the stealth stem, I'd wait until they release the HES version (They're out of stock atm anyways).

The Stealth Adapter is to help camouflage the Solo in a cup.

I'm really enjoying the Turbo 14mm PVHEGonG. Like Armerad, I've always used my GonGs as mouthpieces. The 14mm Turbo GonG is a good general stem because it will easily fit in any GonG (with the aid of reducers), it's not too large to use for direct draw, and because there is no glass screen it' easy to clean.

I have been using my new power adapter the past few days and really enjoy it. An added bonus to using it seems to be that my Solo runs hotter. My 6 setting is giving me nice dark brown ABV like 7 would give me with no power adapter. When I use concentrates I am getting longer sessions than before with just battery power. I also got a 18 PVHE GonG, straight PVHES, and a shorty PVHES from PV, getting ready to try those out tonight.

My new Solo connected to a semi-new piece of glass. Stemless mini inline to disc diffuser. Stock Solo bent stems. Just got my Solo about 2 weeks ago. Have been loving it when on the go and for home use as well. The Solo works real well vaping flowers at a low setting and bho/qwiso at the highest 7 setting. A friend of mine(A Strictly combusting one) tried the Solo when we were out on the go and since he was able to blow clouds with good milkshake sipping he has said he may want to try and switch over to vaping as his lungs have been bothering him of late...The Solo is my second portable but is by far my favorite for flowers currently. Just thought I'd add a review since I'm trying to be more active on FC.

I've noticed this also. I love how it resets to Level 1 after 12 minutes instead of shutting off. Getting back up to temperature takes no time at all!

Awesome, I had no idea about this feature. Even more excited for my PA now, that means it's only one button press to get to vaping for a great desktop experience.
