As for heady Solo stems... @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd is one of the resident glassblowers and does stems for some vaporizers, Solo included. Scan the last ~15-20 pages of the thread to get caught up with what his more current works are looking like. I think they're fucking gorgeous and something you'll probably really consider.

@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd is a great ģlass artist!

I tried to get things made however he blew me off!

In the mean time I will dry stem!
I have no more GonG's!

@ataxian please stop saying that everywhere. I've not blown you off. We've just never been able to come to a consensus on a project for you. I'm more than willing to work with just about anyone. I have no ill will towards you. Please don't take it as such.

This conversation belongs in PMs, guys.

Had to travel on a business/pleasure trip for a few days, staying in a hotel, so I packed up my Solo and supplies, and off I went.

I purchased a desktop a few weeks ago so I have been hitting that pretty hard lately.

The Solo just delivers consistent great taste, draw after draw, stem after stem.

I forgot how great the Solo truly is!

Now I alternate between my desktop and my Solo at home.

imagine, if you would, dual solo's on top of the claisen /d020 setup. Carbed gong used to clear the carb. Damn man head is going clobber just thinking of it
I tried it once with my bong after I got my second solo a couple months ago and it got me the highest I've ever been with the solo :ko:. However, I've yet to do it again since then, maybe I'll have a go this weekend :D.

It doesnt look to pretty but it works great

YES! Just got my D020-D! What a fine piece of glass! It feels very solid and weighty :D

Can anyone show a pic of how much water I should be filling it with? My guess is to right above the perc.

EDIT: Also, any suggestions on how to quickly dry it out for storage after usage?
yeah i put in about an inch of water you can tell when you have too much

I also alternate between my 2 Solos and my EQ desktop, now that the EQ has been modified.
Using these two vapes plus alternating dry and wet with the PWT and D020 is just plain fun.
Nice to have a variety of ways to get that all important cannabis vapor into our lungs.

I am waiting for a PWT and a D020 to be delivered any day now, but I alternate between dry and wet with my trusty o'l bong

how bad is it if you never charged ur solo the first time u got it

"It depends" (doesn't it always?). It depends on how deep the discharge before recharge and how balanced the cells were to start (the reason you overcharge the first time). It's usually not that tough on the battery (or there'd be a bigger stink made about it), but it does impact both total capacity and useful lifetime (before replacement) to some extent.

But nothing can be done now about that. It's history. Charge it up and enjoy it. I'd do the 'overnight charge' anyway, although it probably won't help much (but can't hurt).

Chicken Soup: Can't hurt, might help.

Hey now,
@blackbur I believe the original Solo stems were 2 hole. Current stems are 4 hole as @Quetzalcoatl mentioned. I've ended up with 5 straight stock stems, 3 of them have larger holes than the other two.
I think the two with the smaller holes came as a gratis from Arizer when I had my Solo repaired.
Definitely a difference between the two hole sizes as far as draw is concerned. I know I bought one from @PlanetVape as well.
Finding my way with the PV Vortex, don't like my PV Turbo, love the standard PV.
Same for the PV 14 & 19 GonGs
Lastly @sloth, double sevens. Awesome.

I didn't do the extended charge as recommended on here. I get a session per light all at the temp 7. I've never drained my battery completely but have had it down to no charge light several times. It's rock solid so don't panic. Vap away.

Not Recommended ,
but it can happen when vaping for 2 hours or more ...

Even owning 2 Solos , I've ran each down to where the
Red charge light stays solid and the heat levels start descending
rapidly . Due to , either I'd lost track of time and/or sessions .
And I've done it several times with both Solos . ( new and old version )
Their battery can handle it .

@solo#1
So tell us , what do you think of your purchase ?
Is it like your name ?

I charge my 2 Solos using a timer, so they never get charged all the way to the top. But ever so often one does get rundown till the charge light comes on. Three months in, they both work like new. Love always having a Solo ready to go.

so just realised that even though i check the site multiple times a day and get a lot (thanks to all) of good info and tips to keep me engaged I do keep forgetting that I should contribute too.

In the spirit of that, I moved glass piece from the D020 which is great but was just a little too short for me to sit at the comp vaping which is the norm. so we got a D022 and it rocks, i really do love it. the enthusiasm that burst forth meant that the last couple of weeks have been spent nearly buying glass and wanting a log vape for that water tool goodness.

Luckily, real life (ie the wife) intervened and spent all my cash so I had to hold off and luckily the giddiness has subsided and I am now enjoying the solo for what it gives me and looking at my EQ and thinking hooking it up is a decent interim. less of a cash issue and more of trying to work and get better with my equipment than keep buying to search for the perfect combo which i probably am not going to find.

sorry for the ramble but sharing the thoughts is good. now here is a picture of a chicken

The D022 is a good one!
I just got a couple more.
FC 186 and a FC 187.
When I get another GonG I will try the FC 186 with a SOLO.
The D020 I still use and love
