Arizer Solo II

Your call, of course. That's about 3/4 of a gram (.25 per on average), does it normally take you that much? Given that half or more of the THC is destroyed by fire it's more like 'does it normally take you a gram and a half a session'? You can only get out what you put in, of course, but vaping means you'll get much more of it as less is destroyed just before it gets to you. Expensive fuel.......

Very high tolerance can be the problem of course, but I doubt it as I don't think you'd be expecting miracles like smaller loads than normal?

Once again, good luck with it.

Like everyone is saying it's a process.
There is a learning curve:
Draw speed
Temps

Your body is used to the toxins from combustion that contributed to you high

Your body will adjust, but you need at least a couple weeks.

The way I converted was doing vapor bong hits, so it felt like a bong rip.

I'm not sure if the solo2 is powerful enough for that...I believe so but that's how I transitioned from smoke to vapor with ease

I love a portable vaporizer and use one often but you will get more high with a desk style vaporizer because they are more powerful. I would save up for a desk style unit as a back up. I know You just bought the Solo 2 so it might take awhile to get another vaporizer. Then you will have the best of both worlds.
I love the Solo 2 but it's not the most powerful vaporizer but that's not what I always want. I like excellent flavor when I vaporize and during the day I don't want to get completely wrecked. I save powerful for before bed.

Check out the plug in style units. I love a log vaporizer as well.

I think the EVO would blow you away.
A lot of people swear by the VapCap and you can get one for $50, you would be using a butane lighter with the VapCap. It wouldn't be so expensibe and it's a portable. Maybe I strayed too much from talk of the Solo 2, sorry..... back to the Solo talk.
The SOLO 2 I want however NEED is a different story.
The AIR 2 as well.

My old SOLO work's so well?

DESKTOP's will devastate to after a portable!

T-Beak is like a baby without a rattle!
Can't do it for 1/2 a day?

I like COMEDY and not SCARY like T-BREAK'S?

Bought more Glass today.

The #2 I want however my #1 work's so well?

If your new vaping you can't go wrong with a SOLO 2 (POV)!

My perfect Solo II pack is about .10 to .12 grams

I'm with you there. 1/8 gram or a bit under. Or the other way 9 or 10 loads to the gram once ground and cured. Raw it can be heavier before culling and drying.

I find the inverted ('dome up') Sinclue Screen gives this ideal (for me 'one session') load once I pushed the domed center down a bit.

The bare stock bowl comes in about twice that, .25 grams as loaded around here.

Of course herb quality and tolerance plays a huge factor here, easily a factor of two or 3 each?

"Works a treat" as the Brits say.

I always use a "flattened" dome. Cuts the bowl to about 1/2-1/3 the size.

Flat screen or no screen when I really crave that "joint" feel and want to mindlessly puff on something for 15-20 mins.

I like the Solo 2 because of its versatility. Yes most people will use it as a session vape .. but as my vids show .. it can be used as an insanely powerful 1 hitter to nuke massive rips. Love it.

I am getting closer to .20 in my Solo II stock stem, but I also make a hash oil sandwich most of the time, with a pinch placed in the bowl and filling it about a third, then I put in the hash oil using a dab tool (the oil is actually about the consistency of tooth paste, from my local dispensary), then I put some more weed on the top and pack it with my pinky - vape away

the Solo II gives great hits through a twelve minute session, running it at 395ish to start then taking it up to 405 and sometimes 415
then I turn it on and get another 4 or 5 minutes out of the same stem again, all at the top temp from the first timed session- its nearly a 20 minute process all told and I am friggin' shiskabobbed by the end

so yeah, about .20 but also some hash oil, and I get real good air flow ;^)

edit - just loaded one up with LA Chocolat bud and Grease Monkey hash oil, and put the silicone cap on it for later on tonight. This works better with the Solo OG's Vortex stem (which is too big for the Solo II). The stock Solo II's stem has a four hole design sometimes makes for a clogged hole with the oil, where the Vortex stem has a screen and side slots - lots of air even with oil.

You guys are packing that much into one stem? If I pack anything more than .15 I get really crappy air flow. Am I missing out on a trick here?

Your call, but I find having more mass in the load packed moderately well, produces the most vapor easily. Being conduction, solid contact has advantages at the expense of draw. This can be offset by medium grind and some care loading.

I'm a sipper at heart, I'm willing to take it slower to get it richer. Personal call.

I suggest you give it a go? Then the only guy that can answer your question will be able to?

That sounds dangerous to me. I've never tried oil like that (but should......) but I've often 'spiked' weed with bubble hash. For vapes like the DC Gen 2 herb cart it's a real favorite. I use 2:1 (two grams ground bud to a gram of bubble), which doubles the THC in the bowl. I used to run the sandwich version in the IOLITE but haven't used one is a while. Such a scheme goes and goes and goes producing modest vapor from what's left of the bubble.

Maybe time to try it in Solo......

Thanks.

well I ain't fallin' over - woot woot!
the oil is measured for thc, thcv, cbg, cbc, cbn, and cbd,
its 70 to 90 mg of thc per .1 ml dose, and comes in a .5 dose cartridge (they also have 4 levels of oil quality, I usually get level 2), being in a locale with a nice dispensary is a blessing

I put about .03 ml of this rather thick substance in the middle of about .20 of flowers in the Solo OG,
its not really that much in retrospect

kief sandwiches in the Solo OG or Solo II are nice too
during the day, when I can't do this, as it is admittedly too much, I do get away with a light load that is not packed at all, and both Solos work well this way, we are talking nearly half a normal load, near .10 grams; this would be a grind that is medium coarse, no finer
as long as the stem is full across with flowers, I have found that I don't need it to be tightly packed - this helps when just a little bit is the ticket,
these are amazingly versatile instruments

"Takes all kinds to make a horse race" as they say. IMO a very neat and useful feature of Solo/Air is it's ability to support 'all comers'.

Powerful tool for good. Easier to use than most and tough as can be. How many vapes are @ataxian an proof? At least so far........

SOLO 2 I want very badly?
My #1 won't die?
Now to read I need to be reality tuned in!

The SOLO does that. (like the ENLIGHTENMENT of CANNABIS!)

Using my Solo 2 right now with some Gorilla Glue. My temp is at 380 and generally I will stair step a few degrees higher at the end of my session. I started at 375 degrees.

A convenient vaporizer to curl up on the couch with and get couch locked. It's also handy if you need to vaporize in bed. Who wants to be tethered to a cord when you can be cordless. Love to have that freedom.

Best endorsement I've heard yet! I love me some @ataxian !!
@stickstones I use about .150 max per stem.(loose packed)
One member claimed he load's .7 per stem? (how?)
The PHILOSOPHER; DAVID HUME EMPIRICAL LOGIC should be read by everyone.

My CANNABIS usage went way down with VAPING?

@CarolKing sorry to bug you but I have to thank you for the GRAPE APE!
I love the FLAVOR of this one!

I got some PHANTOM COOKIES (GDP x CHERRY COLA) (wow)

DREAM QUEEN = AFTER EXPRESSO

SOLO all day long! (short)

CANNABIS is SAFE!

Arizer came through and I am the proud owner of a new Solo II, and they even tossed in a couple new stems (sadly no snacks). The replacement unit also included a new charger.

So now I'm torn. Should I retire my previous stem and start brand new again with this unit. Or continue collecting honey in the old (115mm stem).

My LP also had my order of cannabis delivered today. It's a good day.

Only downer is waiting for the 6 hour first charge and then I still have to do a couple burns offs.

Fingers crossed I'll be able to run a couple stems through it tonight.

I sent my package on Friday, after pickup time though, and Monday was a holiday in Canada. It's Friday, and I have a new unit in my hands. One week door to door.

Edit - the 115mm stem was supposed to be a 110mm but Arizer has a 5mm acceptable variance in stem length, so I have several 115's.

Second Edit - 6.5 hours on the initial charge, 3 burns offs at 220 for 8 minutes each. Gave the new stems a quick iso rinse. Set the session to 12 minutes, brightness low, sound med, and countdown timer to 4 seconds -> good to go for a first bowl.

IMO: I find the Og stems provide less draw resistance and better flavor.

I would like to try my OG stems but they have a slightly larger diameter than my Solo II stems. The tight fit made me nervous and I thought I might put too much stress on the o-ring assembly that holds the glass in place. I figured if these got 'stretched' that my Solo II stems would be loose and come out too easily. But I guess there are slight variances in the glass thickness, diameter, etc. I'm glad it is working for you.

I'll be heading to Myanmar (Burma) in a week for a six month contract. My Solo II will definitely be travelling with me. ...now the tricky part may be finding goodies to put in it... I wonder if Buddhist Monks are allowed to vape?:)
