Arizer Air II

I'm almost positive the body is aluminum or at least some sort of metal. The finish is pretty interesting but it feels identical to my original titanium Air.

Thanks for the additional information. Photos can be hard to 'read'. How do you feel about checking that? I verified the base metal by making a small scratch on the narrow bit of the tube at the top, past the threads, and 'saw silver'..........

Ordered myself a Black Air 2 today and i have to say after owning the Solo 1 and Air 1 since release i am very excited to try out the Air 2. My originals were built like tanks , never skipped a beat and always reliable. They both provided amazing flavor and the smallest amount of down time for cleaning out of almost any vape i have owned. While they may not hit as as hard as some vapes out there they always got the job done and held a special place in my rotation. I hope the new version can keep up and remain problem free like my originals. It's going to be a long wait possibly coming from Canada to the U.S. , well a long wait for me being that i can't wait to get it in my hands but i'll try my best to get some pics and informative info up when i have a chance to try it out. Arizer has always been great in helping out , thank you for that and thank you for the products you been putting out , just an example of a company i like to stand by.

Two batteries on my OG solo, and 5 years later it's still hitting like a champ.

1 min 30 seconds for a OG air to heat to what level?

The video shows 1' 24'' to red on the OG. Seems petty to some I know but I'm spoiled by my on demand vaporizers. Not dissing my og AA. Just saying I won't buy another if there's no reason to do so. Heat up time and draw restriction were the areas where I'd need to see some improvements but let's face it physics are physics.

Absolutely. Well stated. The flavor of the AA doesn't seem to get its due, but I put it up there right along side all three of my on demand convection vapes (nano, mi, touch), all of which are repeatedly noted for their outstanding flavor. I'm sure this new version will retain that quality.

Reality again......

OTOH there can sometimes be some fun 'exceptions'? There's a real limit to how 'sticky' a rubber tire is against the pavement. Exceed it and the rubber melts and 'loses traction' and skids instead. This is why a skidding car travels further, braking capacity is lost.

Same happens on acceleration, of course. I recall some very scholarly discussions of such that 'proved' dragsters had a real limit for quarter miles at a tiny bit over 200 MPH. Today such a machine would not be competitive of course.......

Same sort of thing was said about 'the sound barrier'. Who's to say, we may be watching the same sort of thing unfolding as 'the experts' explain the facts of Global Warming to us?

Time will tell. Perhaps we pump a lot of energy in real fast for a very short time? Something like the Fusion Power guys are doing? Maybe a big IR flash followed by flash heated, tempered air so we can seamlessly switch to convection? Maybe microwaves...... Be harder as a portable of course, perhaps we should start with a corded vape instead?

You folks are kicking this thing off right! Lots of great posts and information here already, I love the positivity of the Arizer threads, they're like big love-ins with happy users professing hers/his love of their device. Happily giving the new members a big welcome and words of advice, so that they can be as happy. Arizer is a great Canadian company putting out solid products (without months of pre-release marketing) that they proudly stand behind. I got here late to the vaporizing party and just in time to pick up a Solo 2 shortly after it came out, based in large part on the opinions of folks posting in this thread. So glad I did, no regrets. I've acquired other vaporizers since, but I still love my Solo 2. I'm pretty certain any beginners reading here would do well to get the Air 2. But I'm biased, I'm a fan.

In both OG Air & Solo threads, you will find hundreds of posts testifying like @Justpassedu @Vapetrees & @GetLeft just have. To me, the words of these and other FC members have so much more weight than those of any critic. We have a lot of intelligent, passionate people with real-world experience and knowledge, and it's all brought to bear on vaporizing cannabis and the devices used to do so! It's a remarkable and unique place. I can hardly wait as the Air 2 gets into more hands, to read the love notes here. :luv:

You must be doing concentrates if your use orange or red heat levels? My OG A gets to the white and green temps in about 45 seconds. Also this could depend on a specific battery and condition of battery. I mainly use the white (really purple or pink) and sometimes the blue (the 2 lower heat settings) for vaping flowers. That is more than hot enough for me to extract and produce excellent results with great effects. But I also only use water to vape and several units in my arsenal give me slightly different use performance. Recently I made a gravity binger and I can not believe how much more ripped I get....unbelievable and I have a very high tolerance as well.

Oh.....also as well....several have reported that the Air2 seemed like the draw resistance was like 50% of the OG one......that is probably the biggest and most needed addition to the Air2.

Not if you you're like me and wanna get every last bit out of your product by turning it black as coal. That's my favorite part of the Air, it can turn every load into an absolutely devastated black powder, but with absolutely no risk of combustion. None of the other vapes I've owned can do that, they all either don't go far enough or go too far and combust. I'm really looking forward to the Air II.

So it's going to be a long ass day at work , i did not expect my Air 2 to arrive so quick , they shipped Friday and tracking is showing it was delivered today . It looks like even though i ordered direct from them in Canada , it seems to have been shipped out of IL . This is great , i hope it is safe at my door when i get home. Should have charged a few batteries up the other day but i had forgot. Thank you Arizer , cant wait to dive in.

Calm Consistency
Trying to decide between this or a solo 2.
if it helps at all... the freedom I feel with a fully charged Solo 2 is unmatched by any vape. I can just take the belt clip with 1 doob tube in 1 pocket, stem in the other, and the Solo 2 in its slot, and I'm good for like 3 days worth of vaping on something that hangs from my belt. I can go to my friend's for the weekend and not even need to bring a charger or be the least bit concerned of running out of battery.

Now, if you like the form factor that much more of the Air 2, the removable batteries, and the smaller, lighter form, then there's that too. I had the original Air and I prefer the Solo 2 so far ahead of the OG Air.

If I could have both, I most certainly would. The Air 2 looks very sexy!

Yes , 2 days in so far with it and about 5 sessions total. Battery life is holding up well on the meter on the oled screen , it has only gone down a drop so i am hoping it is accurate. Taste , Size , vapor density is all equal to the air 1 . It is for the most part the same vape , heat up time is a tiny bit quicker but not by much , i am not timing anything though and have since gave away my og air to a buddy in need. The screen is a great improvement to me , i like having it and being able to adjust my temp to a degree. Also charging via usb makes it much easier. The box and packaging was great , definitely a step up from my og air. If you have tried the Air 1 and like it , then you'd like the air 2. It is basically the same with some added improvements to make ease of use easier. I did not notice a stronger heater if it does have one , my temps did not really drop while hitting it , maybe a few degrees on a long draw but it was right back up in seconds. Very smooth , quality vapor that is not harsh in any way. I feel i may be getting a bit more even browning to my load also when my session is finished. I'll need more use out of it , i am only 2 day's in so far but really enjoying it. Happy to have it over my Air 1 , the Air 1 was built like a tank , it never skipped a beat for me and i am hoping this holds up the same . This is more of a nice slow session vape , you take nice slow relaxing pulls and get rewarded with great dense vapor , where as lets say a mighty you can just rip as hard as you'd like and get big clouds. The taste i feel is on top from mostly everything i have used and that is one thing i love about the Arizer products.

Interesting that you didn't notice an increase in vapor density. When I got the Solo 2 I noticed a big difference from the Solo OG. I figured the Air to Air 2 would have the same increase. One of the things I didn't like about the Air is that the vapor density was kind of low compared to some of the other vapes out there.

@Justpassedu, how is draw resistance by itself & in comparison to the Air 1?
It is actually quite a bit better , not a huge difference but noticeable enough to know it is there , keep in mind i am coming from a Air og , one of the 1st models that did not have those circles drilled out around the air holes in the oven . I know they introduced that later in the Air 1 models , so my Air og was more comparable to a Solo which i also had one of the earlier versions. It's improved enough to not feel like you are sucking a thick milkshake but also not 100% free flowing like some other vapes. I don't find it gets in the way at all though and felt on my og air it was sometimes a bit tiresome doing back to back sessions and i had to pull the stem out a drop for better airflow or use one of my aftermarket high flow stems. So good improvement with the Air 2. One thing to remember with the Air and Solo , 1 or 2 , is to not pack it tight , you want to kinda of place your material in the stem and just ever so lightly tamp it with your finger and i always insert my stems upside down making sure no flowers fall out. I personally like to keep my stem in the oven also during a preheat while most like to insert it after the oven gets to temp, i usually twist in a circular motion slowly to get my stem in the oven while cold , been doing this for a few years now and i feel it helps to heat the stem a bit and get vapor production quicker , i don't find it cooks my material while in there heating up.

Tried my og solo again today, with the straight stem. Real nice for reading and writing.
I'm waiting for vaposhop to get the air 2 in Stock. Arizer is selling them, after converting currencies it'd only be about 200 euros, I know I'm gonna end up paying 20-40 in taxes.. Bummer. But vaposhop are authorized sellers AFAIK, and it's a pretty good deal. so I'm fine waiting for a bit. If its anything like the solo it'll last a long time!

I am disappointed to see the Air no longer comes with a silicone "condom" case.

I have mine on the Air 99% of the time, as I am often sharing around and I don't trust other people not to drop the device, it is fairly slippery! I wonder if one will be available for purchase some time in the future. If not modification of the original case may be needed.

Also as a side note, can anyone let me know of a reputable place to buy 18650's? Either UK based or free/cheap shipping to the UK.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, I wanted to say that as well! I wasn't sure the Air II came with a sleeve, but I'd really like one. If I really do go out 'n' about I'd like to have that little extra protection.

I hope if Arizer themselves don't bring one out, a third party will..

It looks like the dimensions vary between the Air and Air II (6 x 6 x 6 in. for Air II, and 2.75 x 6 x 8.75 in for the Air 1, according to vapornation.com)

I don't think the Air 2 is a 6-inch Cube Vapor Nation must be incorrect...

Haha yeah I guess my math isn't up to date or I was just deceived:lol:..thinking about it now it can't be right because not all sides are the same size and also like you said, it's not a cube xD

Has anyone tried fitting an Air sleeve on the Air II?

I don't either , while i dont have my og air anymore i am pretty sure they are almost exact in size. I think that silicone sleeve for the air 1 would fit on the 2 just fine and may need the back port just trimmed a bit and possibly the front.
