I'm about to order some pre-sliced bar stock 2.25" in diameter. Building a couple lids for a grinder bottom. Question is thickness. Do I need to worry about the plate bending? I'd like to go with 1/16" but they also have 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4. I will also need to make some cuts in the metal (simple straight cuts) and thats another reason I want to go with 1/16th. Easier for me to work with.
