I can’t confirm if Simple Green or PBW ‘rinse off’ completely.

But I’m positive that at 800-900 degrees, these compounds cease to be.

I always do a burn off after a deep cleaning with anything other than iso/water.

Simple green needs to be rinsed off after use, you can feel a slight slime on the glass when you remove it from the cleaner, but it's water soluble and easily cleaned off. Just rinse it off under hot water.

By the time you’ve soaked the thing for the day or whatever, anything that CAN dissolve will have dissolved, including the surface tension holding the specks...so DRY IT OFF, and see if it comes away on the cloth. If it doesn’t, scrape at it with a fingernail and wipe it again. I find that fingers are PERFECT for telling me if a surface has been thoroughly cleaned and rinsed...not hard, doesn’t take long, fingers, banger, piece of cloth....

@biohacker You’re golden with that. That’s the concentrated version, I would use full strength for bangers and dilute it in a bucket or tub for glass. It’s a great non-toxic cleaner, also biodegradable and easygoing on the environment once it leaves your drain which isn’t always the case with heavy duty cleaners.

I can confirm that both Simple Green and PBW rinse off completely, there’s a long-ass thread here called “The Science of Clean” that’s informative and indeed explains the science behind these & other products. I will say that imo, most stoners use way too much PBW or concentrated SG for the task at hand.

A little goes a long way with both, especially PBW, which can damage your glass if left too long/not rinsed well. I’ve read guys that use PBW to clean their grinders, totally overkill and can ruin them, eating the surface right off! It’s like dudes that only use 99% ISO on everything when 70% is more than enough, just warm it. Only real reason for 99% is if you plan on evaporating the alcohol, the 30% is distilled H2O.

So if I’m understanding what y’all are saying, it’s this:
Soak, Rinse, Dry, Fingernail if necessary. Yeah that’s way too easy, needs more complexing! Complexity!

EDIT: I’ve used distilled water for cleaning other things and was still surprised that it works so well on warm bangers. I just think it’s cool, that pure water gets that gunk out so easily! I hope everyone is using the 710coil equipment to its fullest potential this weekend!

Like @ClearBlueLou called out. I can usually use my finger to rub off the little leftovers and also take off the film that the simple green leaves. Only difference is I do it under hot water when I am rinsing off the SG film. The great thing about the bangers is they can take any of the options that have been called out so far and not have any negative reactions.

Expect some pics of the new bangers to be posted here later today and I must say, the little improvements really show in the new version of my bangers

I need to be clear that I agree that fingers are probably the best, most simple way to mechanically clean a banger. They’re both incredibly sensitive and handy in that they’re literally always at hand. I only mess with people who know I’m playing and how I roll, but often don’t consider everyone else reading.

It’s in that spirit I gotta confess that I love vape accessories and the myriad types of little tools, it’s an illness that I’ll probably have the rest of my life. And I am cool with that! I don’t want anyone here to take my joking seriously because I don’t take myself seriously. I’d hate for y’all to think I’m dissing accessories in the Lord of Dabbing Accessories’ thread! Accessories elevate my experience and make it better/easier.

For instance, I’ll only need to order a VRod coil but I’ll actually order a lot more than that, lol! I want to get into rosin squishing just so I can get a banger&coil setup from Shane like all the cool kids here! And I LOVE his rigorous standards, attention to detail & this whole “always striving for improvement” gimmick of his.

As promised here are side by side shots of the old and new bangers. They are pretty easy to spot though =)

The biggest change was to add some length to the bucket and also move the neck up a tiny bit. Along with the length added between the banger and the curve in the neck. Its a pretty sweet combo =)

So far I have no reclaim getting into the neck

Lack of reclaim getting down the neck is a big time benefit imo, even if I’m not the one using the bangers.
It didn’t bother me much, until someone here that I respect pointed out that dab rigs that are heavily used and/or not cleaned look “like they shitted themselves”. And just like that I became a clean glass snob.

Congrats Shane, those are just lovely looking and I love how you keep tweaking it until it’s perfect.

Better tell your graphic artist to get cracking on those dang t-shirts! Pronto!

The main purpose was to keep the reclaim down and they have achieved this with flying colors =)

I get the decrease in reclaim, but what do you think in the design is causing you to drop your temps another 5 degrees?

@Roth The bucket being deeper caused me to drop my temps 5 degrees. I was thinking it was due to the extra area being added below the neck and so a better buildup of heat was happening. I confirmed the temp drop across both of my controllers with different coils and bangers. I am also using just a barrel coil and still needed to drop the temps 5 degrees.

I will check the 25mm version tomorrow and see if it shows the same results

I went to check and saw the monster was our "loyal coil and quartz monger" @710Coils that got me looking. Then @maxymods chimed it and said it was really good. I love the idea of being able to change the air resistance.

The new bangers look and sound great! Just a couple of questions, when you have time:

(1) Will your existing inserts work in the new bangers, or will there be an upcoming design change to your inserts too?

(2) Were the new axial coils (yet to arrive) redesigned for these new bangers? And just curious, will they fit the old bangers?

I may be a little challenged keeping up with you, but I am excited about your new products!

@VaporScript The existing inserts still fit good in the new version bangers. I will also be adding 1 or 2 mm to the next batch of inserts, but thats just to make it look more uniform with the taller bucket

The new taller axial coils were made with these changes in mind and will fit like they were meant to be (Cause they were) The newer coils will still work fine with my older bangers. The main change was to move the coil arm closer to the neck by adding 2 wraps to the axial coil. This also helped to cover more banger surface and should help lowering temps and also giving a solid and even heat saturation

My newer axial coils should work with most other US bangers. But worst case you can ping me before purchasing one to make sure they will play nice.

@Hogni You are preaching to the choir my friend. I have bribed a friend to improve my site and have been preparing updated pictures for them to swap in for the old pics.
