I have never used a VG but while using a Vaporstar it was awesome while using a bong, at least until 12', after that the vapor is too poorly condensed.

What do You mean by not that good effects? If You are looking for that couch lock stoney feeling than ABV is the way to go but if You wanna get high than fresh bud should be a lot better.

Could You post some links proving that 10 sec theory?

Vaporstar is my only vaporizer so I can't compare it to other vapes but imho it's awesome, especially if You have a nice but not too big glass piece to go with it :)
