    Upgrading my vapes worth it?

The stock mouthpiece has always been contoured to 14/18 for direct water filtration. Just because you didn't personally try something doesn't mean it wasn't a viable option. http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/herbalaire.276/page-63#post-575972 Also, using a wider (standard) diameter of tubing...

    Upgrading my vapes worth it?

I think Herbalaire not being a heavy hitter is a large misconception spread in FC. Here is a video from the manufacturer supporting this: Also, a new HA 2.2 is $140 (not sure about Canada shipping) The adapter is less than $30 shipped. $170 is half the price of the spherical SSV setup you're...

    Upgrading my vapes worth it?

You should look into the Herbalaire. It is designed for whip, glass, bags, etc. For direct draw I prefer it to the 7th Floor offerings given the same diameter of tubing. If you're planning on running it through glass Herbalaire shines even brighter in my opinion. There is nothing "compromised"...

You can attach a little bit of 3/8" ID 1/2" OD (SSV size) tubing over the top of the HerbalAire mouthpiece to form an airtight seal inside the Herbalizer bag's "SqueezeValve". This avoids possible leakage from the Herbalizer bag valves, as discovered by Herbalizer owners with leaky stock...

I've used the rubber caps that come with MFLB batteries as bag stoppers before. I typically just use my finger, but they work well if you need to put the bag down. Solo stems don't fit tightly in the HA; they spin freely and even allow extra fresh air into the vapor path. I believe you are...

    Zephyr Ion. Most underrated vaporizer?

You mentioned best temperature-stability in addition to recovery time. That is why I responded with the Herbalizer quote that specifically mentions temperature-stability. I'm not looking for an argument, simply stating knowledge that is already available. Allow me to add "experience dictates"...

    Zephyr Ion. Most underrated vaporizer?

Herbalizer's manufacturer's specifications disagree: "Temperature Stability: +/- 5°F (+/- 3°C)" http://www.herbalizer.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/SPECS-SMALL.pdf My own and other's personal experience with the HerbalAire dictates that it never needs time to recover because it's borderline...

The HerbalAire deserves mention for more than just being the least expensive; It also offers the most options and versatility. I never bothered with the aftermarket O-rings to be honest I couldn't tell you. I think experamenting for yourself is your best option. I'm sure you'll have fun figuring it out. Best of luck!

One of the stems I have that fits nearly flat to the oven is a PV GonG stem. It needs to be rotated perfectly or lifted a bit or nearly no air gets through the unit. If the airflow tightens up to a milkshake-like draw during the times you don't get optimal results it is likely the stem fit. I've...

    Arizer Solo

It is possible the stem you have fits nearly flat against the oven and isn't allowing for adequate airflow. I have a couple of nearly flat stems that either need to be lifted or rotated just right to allow for proper airflow and uniform results. Have you experienced the problem with multiple...

Not sure where you got the idea that you can't take the SOLO on the go; that's what it was designed for. (Size comparison) Also, 18mm GonGs are very short compared to the stock mouthpiece pictured.

I own both the 2.2 and 2.1 models; as far as I can tell they both reach roughly the same body temperature during use. I rarely use stock setup, though. Perhaps the lack of idle conduction is the difference. Even before I switched to convection mode I typically used a GonG stem and lifted the...

The teflon parts will get very warm during use; that's normal. They are in contact with the heat stream. If the teflon MP is too warm directly you may consider putting a length of silicone tubing on top as a straw. The top half of the body gets warm during use, but nothing close to...

Any ISO above 90% should be fine for cleaning purposes. Just keep the unit upside down until its all dried up. I have found Mr. Clean Magic Erasers to be nearly perfect for cleaning vapeware, but they are a bit pricier than ISO. I haven't seen or heard about discoloration out of the box before...

Try holding the unit upside down and giving your chamber a wipe with a q-tip damp with ISO on the discolored areas. If it wasn't present when you unboxed it then it is likely just a bit of vapor honey buildup in the chamber. The heating chamber is stainless steel so most anything should clean...

    Arizer Solo

I used my Solo GonG with both my Solo and HA for about a year or so. It was very convenient having all of my vape honey collect in one place. It is not a perfect fit with the HA like it is with Solo but it will work. The non-airtight fit introduces extra fresh air into the HA vapor stream, though.
