Good point. @divinetribe, it looks like if you took the V4, laser drilled some holes along the bottom of the cup, and added a screen solution to the top, it could be used as a dry herb vape. Would make stiff competition to the newly released Linx Eden. I would definitley buy one just to try it.

This may sound like a dumb question but is there any reason why something like the V4 couldn't be used (cautiously) with dry herb as a quartz conduction vape? I realize too much heat would combust but with the right settings and discipline with firing, would it work?

I really really want to pull the trigger on one of these but can't do it in good conscience without knowing more details about the heating element. Missed the boat on their 7/10 sale but I don't do concentrates/oils anyway so no biggie. I may just need to wait for someone to do a teardown of...

Does anyone know what the actual heating element is made out of? I realize it is a quartz chamber. The Gaia was advertised as a quartz heating element but it was actually a coil of resistive wire (not sure the actual material) that heated up the quartz chamber. I'm super intrigued by this...
