Ok, My original atomizer just died. Ordered a replacement which recently arrived.
Notice the ridges on the new one below (left), whereas the original (right) is smooth? What I have observed is the new one works better.
I'm glad it went out, because the new one simply tokes better. Temp1 now...
LOL They definitely win the beauty award. One gets choices. I would get an either a lime green or a salmon pink one.
But **IF** I am right and the atomizer will basically last longer than the device, I can rationalize my purchase as abatement of future atomizer...
You are very welcome :)
For the Peak, my primary purpose for the TP was to get the mouthpiece/splashguard. I'm a heavy hitter and hate getting water in my mouth.:cuss:
Puffco should have included it and it would have helped to validate their hefty price-tag. I am not a Peak hater. Quite the...
Don't even have to ponder. I discovered this author as a young man via an inscription inside a what would be for me a literally life-changing RUSH album, 2112. "Dedicated to the genius of Ayn Rand." Who the fuck is Ayn Rand I asked myself? Went to the library, got "Anthem" and over a year...
I have two Peaks and a Carta, and so I have some "parts". As is, the travel pack is useless for the carta (it barely sits on there and yes, looks "stupid" :) It can be altered to work though. I cut the "circle" off and affixed some velcro to the back of the pack and the side of the Carta...
Owning both, my anecdotal experience (and my business partner's) is the Carta's atomizer is MUCH more reliable. Indeed, I've had my Carta a month now and am on the original atomizer! FYI: My Peak isn't working right now because I'm out of atomizers -- lol -- I've bought at least ten in six...
I like my Carta as I also liked my Peak. I've written and commented on the "vs" aspects. In short, the Carta's atomizer design works much better. The actual design itself is just superior. However, the problem with the Carta as a company, is scale. Right now they simply can't deliver the...
I also have a puffco peak and am used to ceramic buckets. I like the Ti but it seems on level One the temp is too low and on level Two the temp is too hot.
Fyi, for Peak owners, there is a hack where you push the button 10 times fast and it adds 50f across all temp settings. On high it...
Yes! I just love my Carta. It works amazingly well. My loudest complaint is the size of the crucibles. I actually bought a tiny led flashlight to keep on the lanyard so I can see inside it. I generally prefer quartz in my dab rigs, but the Carta is the only device I prefer the Titanium...
Thank you!
I am most interested in this. I have two Peaks and a Carta, and I much prefer the Carta except for third-party availability of creativity. So this is a wonderful news to hear!
Relatively new here and certainly new to this subgroup but I did want to be sure to say that I too have found this practice useful. Not only does it preserve and store my oil, it oddly makes it better! Wished I understood the chemistry of that phenomena? I tend to press rosin and to a lesser...
For flower I use 390f at +1% calibration. Unless you are using too fine a grind, not too much danger in combustion. I just have not had a problem with that. The only time has been when I forgot I had it in concentrates mode after loading some flower
True my friend, but no one has ever...
No, it only impacts particles that get into your mouth (think about it, the FF2 has no traditional screen.... air goes OUT of the bowl.... the little ss mouthpiece filter is the only mechanical screen from the flower to the mouth. I use a coarse grind and I've had this be problem for me perhaps...
You'll love it. Well,actually I can't say that. How about that I love mine - lol :)
It is a true "Power Ripper" yet with good taste and smooth vapor. I use a little water however some swear by a dry bong. Of my vapes, the only one i get better taste from is my FF2, but I can't really...
Yes, it MUST be the S&B dosing capsule pads... NOT the regular device pads. They are the proper 13m in diameter but a bit thicker in height. It works fine. Just tinkering, I used my rosin press to skinny one up a bit and noticed no difference in taste or performance.
Yeah, me too. I love...
Yes. Get the S&B "dosing capsule" "drip pads" aka "liquid pads" (has to be the 13mm ones for the dosing capsules themselves, not just the bowls of the mighty/crafty.
You are very welcome. My goal is not to cause Haze grief -- they've done that to themself -- but to inform consumers. Being new with low post-counts, I was a bit reluctant. I don't want to be "that guy", but my professions put me into a position where I may can help folks to better understand...
I have found it doesn't really matter. People sensitive to butane are sensitive to it no matter how pure.
Other things I've found very important are the torch you're using, and how you're using it. I don't let flame get into the glass inlet... rather I have the flame sort of "push" hot air...
