It is easy to tease apart one of the concentrate pads. Turns out they are a knitted cuff. Find the end that unravels when you pull on it. Cut off about six feet, wipe it down with iso and roll your own concentrate pad any way you like. NO SHARDS.

I don't think a photo will show much at this point other than the deformation I made to get a cap that fits as well as the rest of mine which I have to add all worked well out of the box according to design and within tolerances. A good cap slides on and off with just enough friction to work...

Sorry, newbie here, I didn't know that there were things we weren't supposed to discuss in this forum. Is that caps in particular or just QC in general? I apologize for bringing up sensitive subjects.

And the point I am making is that for some reason there are caps out there that are beyond the tolerance that allow for the simple solution. I used pliers. The hacker got mad. Someone else lost theirs, it fell off.

Sorry, these caps are not sightly bigger they are too big to correct with the squeeze method. You can do it but then they are not remotely round. It is not a solution in this case. The other six caps I have are all very good with slight variation as one would expect.

The fins dissipate the heat before it travels to the user end of the unit. More fins, more surface area more effect. With air cooled aircraft engines more/finer fins usually means more horsepower.
