Yep that is correct. I just posted here cause I figured it was relevant enough. The DotMod has a screen and adjustable wattage. That last coil is a similar resistance, and I use it around 20 watts. The dotmod also has a similar power selection mode to the dotleaf and those wattages are way too...

Here's some more pictures. The mouthpiece is the herb chamber. I have some quartz beads in there for cooling

Here's a quick demo. I have made a wood mouthpiece (not in video) and added a bigger coil. Works well, not sure it's better than a dedicated herb device though.

https://ibb.co/wz6YjmS https://ibb.co/qxBdKFB Pretty happy with the way this imp body turned out. I found a good technique for putting o-rings on mouthpieces.

Wow man that is next level. What kind of deck did you build that on?

Yup, just a screen, a mouthpiece, and a big coil. It's called a 510 heatsink

Herbie V2 by Vape Engineering - 510 dry herb vaporizer

Have you looked into wax pens? Great use for your box mods if you use concentrate. Wax atomizers are much easier to use than herb atomizers, in my opinion.

Interesting, never thought about the donuts. Maybe stack two of them on top of each other as separate coils. Keep us updated if you try them out.

I've tried the ceramic rods from the Quartz Quest on a stem pod before. They took too much power to reach vaporization temps. Bad on battery and it made the atomizer HOT. Not trying to discourage you though. It did give me super even ABV.

    The "Project" DIY Herbal Vaporizer

Welcome, friend. In addition to this thread, this other DIY thread has some info on vaping herb with drippers. Have fun, and good luck. https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-510-dry-herb-atomizers-thread.52825/

Update on my experiment. I got these really cool metal panels for it. I don't like the logo, I'm looking for a way to get rid of it. I drilled out the top wide enough to take 810 drop tips, and to allow me to quickly reload capsules. I had a little incident with the Dremel and had to grind down...

The vapor itself isn't too bad, at least for me. I think the capsule lid makes a semi-efficient heatsink that absorbs some of the heat. The mouthpiece gets pretty warm after a long hit, but cools pretty quickly. I'm planning on eventually making some sort of cooling unit.

I got the capsules to fit but I'm worried about ruining the mod by drilling out the top opening. The vid shows temp control, but it doesn't really work. Here's a pic of the AVB at 29 watts. No stirring. Def not perfect but I think I can get it pretty close after some more adjustments.

Hey friend, I've done some looking around and can't find any of those wood panels. Do you have a link by chance?

The Hippie Pipe X - Analog Portable Vaporizer

Very interesting. I appreciate you guys trying to stand out from the other devices in this category. My first thought was, is it possible to gunk up that telescopic part if you don't keep up with cleaning?

Did you consider just swapping out mods? I was about to get a dotleaf, but I was really worried the oven would break and it'd be impossible to find replacements.

This mod doesn't have TCR, so I'm limited to wattage mode. Works pretty similar to a Milaana. Doesn't get too hot which is nice. Loading is a little awkward so I'm trying to make the top opening wide enough so I can slip in some potv capsules just by removing the mouthpiece. Right now I'm...

Introducing the new DotLeaf 2.0 Now featuring natural materials and 100% convection. JK I made this tank myself for my DotAIO. The heating element is their RBA coil. Still a work in progress but so far so good. Figured you guys would appreciate this.

Hey guys, I own the DotAio V2, which is basically the Dot leaf but for regular vaping. What are the odds I could buy a dotleaf tank and have it work? They seem to be the same size.
