The tip is to use The restrictor disc rather than not use it. I completely agree with @nonamekevin. It's totally a personal preference, but my experience has been much much better using it.

If you haven't already put the "restrictor" disc in @Poostuff and @MAbud . It's misnamed because it doesn't really restrict anything except combusting. It allows you to get it hotter without the flame hitting your product. Much much better.
