I removed the PCB and could lower the coil a little bit more, after that on my first test bowl I was able do to 4 heating cycles without this light charred taste at the 3 and 4 heat up cycle. Now with this setup it is perfect, have tested it also with an older hotter cap and it worked also...

Thank you for this informations, I have also a CAS switch choosen I think I will test first a little bit and play with the PWM mode and see how it goes. If necessary I will change to the 16mm coil.

My Flite is still on the way to me, hope for arriving beginning of the next week. Can not await to hold this little nice heater in my hands but reviews of the heating from the flite from others here concerned me a bit for my flite with the 15mm coil, have also asked for the coolest coil postion...

@mr_cfromcali can you please explain more in detail the battery meter function with the under coil LED's and the dimming via the trim pot on the PCB. Would add them also to the quick starter guide, but only a suggestion from me.

@mr_cfromcali Just saw on the website for the Flite that there are now 3 options for the coil hight setting, this field was not there when I ordered my Flite, my question with what for a option from the 3 will the first batch of Flite's send out?

Its 3:00 AM and I just ordered a Gun Metal Flite with charger and batteries, now it's time for sleeping :D
