Someone asked this awhile back. The IQ isn't designed to be used without the flavor chamber, according to DaVinci. The pathway without it is not sealed at all, so lots of leakage and, is guess, smell. Plus, the chamber cools the vapor. Why would you want to use it without the chamber?

It's an intersting idea, but I think those beads are saturated with water. So they will dry out and while doing so, in the flavor chamber, I'd be a little concerned about steam and being burnt. What happened when you soaked them in ISO? Did they shrink/shrivel up, dissolve? I don't find it...

There is definately a difference in airflow, but the IQ wasn't designed to be used without the flavor chamber. I wouldn't use mine without it, I don't believe the air path is isolated from the rest of the inside of the vape.

I can't say I've had the same experience as you. The IQ is my least smelling vape, compared to the Ascent and Pax2. The only smell I find with the IQ is after its turned off and not emptied. If I'm worried about stealth I take the extended mouthpiece off and put the unit in a mason jar, easy...

I've noticed that they seem to be paying less attention to Reddit and here. I've had the best luck messaging them on Facebook. I've usually gotten a response within an hour or two during business hours.

I have resolved my situation with Davinci. So, please disregard my postings about Davinci customer service. They do have good support, it is just a little slower than I'm accustomed to right now. Also happy to report that they have a warehouse in Canada now, so shipping should be faster for us...
