Honestly, (I dont know if this holds true for vaporizers) but I have ruined soddering irons by leaving them on for really prolonged durations. I left one on for a week once (still sitting in its cradle) and by the time I realized (the next time I needed to use it) it was dead.

I wouldnt leave my vaporizer on for any prolonged duration. That would probably cut down the life of your heating element, and not to mention its a potential fire hazard. Get a hot plate or something like that instead, and you shouldnt leave one of those on unattended either. :2c:
