Welcome aboard, 'Snacks! Glad you're finally getting to try the FW9 yourself. Looking forward to your further impressions. I'm digging that large-handled implement in the foreground. Where's that from?

The capsule that ends up being the bowl is pretty deep, but the bowl kit adaptor ends up working as a solid funnel, so, as Sour Dream said, it's real easy to load/unload. For me, it's easy: Get the capsule version with the bowl adaptor kit. Best of both worlds! Your FW9 is then the perfect vape...

I would definitely email Marc and ask him what he thinks. Firewood CS is second to none.

If I pull out the stem to the point where the whole of the first depression in the glass is just outside the body of the vape, the stem is as far out as it can be without disconnecting from the elbow. Hope that makes sense.

Agree 100%. I have no doubt that Marc checks every one before sending it out. But I understand it can certainly be unnerving when you're conducting that first inspection out of the box. And THIS is why I only own Firewood vapes at this point and never worry when I find those oddities in a new...

Sorry. Didn't take the shipping charge into account. I ordered mine along with something else, so it wasn't a factor.

Marc sells them on the Firewood site.

Don't know about anyone else, but my FW8 (and maybe my 7?) came with little felt pads with adhesive backing that you could apply to the inside walls of the "insertion hole" for exactly this purpose - to eliminate wobble for stems with narrower diameters. Gotta believe Marc is still sending them...

That was weird about your presets. Glad you got it sorted out and that you're loving it. I've had screens fall out. I just drop them back in from the top and then press them into place with my tamping tool, which is the plunger from a baby syringe. I think the screen of any one capsule has...

It's okay to vent. I know how frustrating it is to be at the mercy of delivery infrastructure, especially when you're waiting on something that can help lighten the load of constant pain. I'm in a similar situation in terms of constant pain (although, from the sounds of it, not as severe) and...

Sometimes just the fear of being sent back to "The Maker" makes the vape behave.

It's easy to lose track of those buzzes. Especially when you're a couple of hits into a bowl. When you first press and hold the button you should get a # of confirmation buzzes to indicate the heating preset you're using. If you're at level 2, you would get 2 buzzes when you first hold down the...

I don't try to remove the o-rings. I just hit them with an iso-soaked swab them while working on the rest of the elbow. In terms of cleaning the stem: I put it in a Doob Tube, pour in some salt, add iso to fill the tube, cap it off, and give it a good shaking. Then I leave it to soak for...

Yay!! I get to talk once again about my favorite FW accessory. For me, absolutely indispensable for loading capsules. Designed using a FW capsule that I sent him so you can rest assured everything fits perfectly. Of course, you only need this if you're going the capsule route rather than the...

My button does have some "wiggle" to it. At first I was concerned but then I realized it actually made it easier to use. It has never failed. And I use it a lot. :brow:

Honestly, I can't even remember how I came to those. I've been using them on my Firewoods since I got my first FW4. (Yeah, I had more than one. I went a little nuts.) But I do know I put in a lot of research into the vaporization temps of various cannabinoids and terps. Now they're just habit...

I would classify these anomalies as outliers. And Marc's customer service is world-class.

Glad you're enjoying it. If I look at your photo and treat the oven as a clock face, it looks like you're talking about "cracks" that appear at about 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock. Is that what your referring to? Sorry to have to say they sure look like cracks to me and mine does not have anything...
