I would say the only reason to go with QD over V2 is if you want one of their colors, or need it ASAP (V2 has some backorder issues). Otherwise, V2 is cheaper and the original manufacturer, provide e-liquid, and they offer stainless steel.

If it has the consistency of e-liquid, use the liquid. Any thicker and you should use the wax cart to be safe. The V2 carts are top coil wicks I believe, which means they can't handle thicker viscosities very well.

If I was Ploom, I'd make a smaller version of the Pax a la V2 Pro style. I think they could do it better, and a pen-style vape that actually works with a .15-.2g cartridge and decent battery would be huge.
