Wow , On heat setting 5, I am getting about 1 hour usage, maybe a little more till my battery gauage reads 0.

This battery life sounds similar to mine. I think this is normal with the new software tweaks in the newer models. Arizer likely wants you to top up your battery sooner to make it last longer in the long run. Just a theory, but it would make sense.

So I figured out that if I unplug my charger from the WALL outlet, my Solo powers back on, but if I unplug it from the SOLO jack(charger still plugged into outlet) it stays shut off! Interesting.

Why do people in the USA get such a great deal on the Solo, and people in Ontario, Canada, Where the solo is actually made, pay $229 plus $30 tax? How does this make sense?

I know Arizer has been tweaking the software on the newer models, but mostly to maximize battery efficency. Not sure what advantage having the power stay on after unplugging would be for.

I don't mind powering it off manually after unplugging, it just seems kind of wierd. Could it be some kind of software glitch? It's a new M1D.

After my solo is done charging and I unplug it, the blue idle light stays on and I have to power it off myself, Is this normal?

Looking at mine under the cap (M1D) I also noticed that the two plastic clips that hold the heater head aren't really clipped over the edge of it, but the screws lock it down perfectly straight anyway.

Yep, That is pretty much where I think mine is headed too, unless I can get my heater to snug down.

I think TV may be right on the money. I had to argue my point to Tom that my PD had NEVER been dropped, only lightly spanked on it's bottom, and it became loose as hell for no reason at all, and reseating the clip didn't work by the time I noticed the loosness. Maybe Tom was up to his eyeballs...

Try adding some extra 1" retaining clips, They made mine alittle tighter but it's still not perfect by any means.

Just haven't made it to the hardware store yet to buy some more 1" retaining rings. Once I get them in place, I can't see why it wouldn't snug down the HE. It's a simple device that requires a simple fix , not a TV set.
