I challenge anyone who claims their backend or mouthpiece is getting "too hot" to actually measure and quantify just how hot they mean. Amazon sells IR themometers that seem suited to this. Example...

Yes, they do. However, there may be a limit to how long you can wait before disputing a transaction. Have you checked what your credit card company's policy is on this? You might already be outside their limit, in which case they would have no obligation to help you.

At some point, there's likely to be a "race for the exit", if all this worry reaches a tipping point. Then we will see just how much protection PayPal really provides. I'm doubtful it's more than a "fig leaf" at best. A few claims, they may pay without problem, but at some point they are...

Check back in a few years for your answer. Seriously. People are always saying "I cannot imagine how X can be improved." That's a fair statement, but not because X cannot be improved upon, but because most people cannot imagine how to do it. Which is why people who can imagine the future are...

And so it begins. Hopefully, we'll be seeing some real competition in this space very soon. In a few years, I'll have something sitting on my desk that will be safe, reliable, easy to use and maintain, taste good, efficient, etc. And affordable. It will just work: a real consumer product...

Because of the hype. And it looked cool. And I sometimes like to blow my money on cool looking, overly hyped gadgets that I end up hardly ever using. I've got an ice cream maker with a built in condenser taking up space in my kitchen. And a stand mixer with every conceivable attachment. And...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Exactly. I canceled my pre-order for the same reason. I have some vaporizers that were very expensive new, and never lived up to the hype they received, so I never use them. I'm not allowed to name names, but let's just say I've got a really beautiful, red paperweight, with an interesting...

https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ1488/3 Does PayPal permit transactions for pre-sale items? A pre-sale item is advertised for sale before the seller actually has the item. Often, these items are sold before they are available to the general public. A seller might use the money from...

My Firefly "lifetime warranty" which I have no doubt they will be able to honor in my case...considering that I never use the stupid thing. Hopefully, honoring the warranty on my Grasshopper will also be a snap, but not for the same reason!

Maybe you mostly can. There might be a few things that are subject to wear that are not totally obvious to the naked eye, however. For example, I wonder how long the switch will last. And the threads for loading the oven and battery compartment. Maybe the screen as well. Frankly, I think...

Should vaporizers be classed as medical devices?

True. They are far from perfect and not loved by all. Least of all by pharma or medical device companies. On the whole, we are all better off with regulation, imperfect though it may be.

Should vaporizers be classed as medical devices?

I think that the problem as it currently stands is that vaporizer manufacturers are forced to officially pretend that their products are not used in the way that they were actually designed and purchased to be used. And, manufacturers also have zero liability in case they are not fit or safe to...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Actually, are you sure that it was meant for this purpose at all? It might be just a coincidence. A happy accident. After all, is it actually mentioned anyplace in the product literature, instruction manual, packaging, or in any official communications that the Grasshopper can interface with...

Right, and I wouldn't need one for a Solo, because it's kind of obvious. You turn it on maximum, and wait until it doesn't smell anymore. Will that work for a Grasshopper? Doesn't sound like it would. It sounds like you'd need to blow air through it somehow. And, it seems to me, that this...

Now that I think about it, even if the burnoff is due to residue from people's fingers... How do we know what, exactly, those people were handling that day? Because, that visible vapor probably contains more than just vaporized sweat, body oil and dead skin cells. We all know that a lot of...

You know, a lot of bubblers will push air in the "wrong" direction after you stop sucking on them. Because will you inhale, you draw water up towards the mouthpiece, and when the water drops back down, it push air back the other way. I think my d-20 does this.
