Yes the handsfree adapter does need a little tweaking to get right. Back when I used my SSV a lot more I loved my adapter. It could be the "choke" of the wand causing the hotspot effect, concentrating the heat. It was never a big deal with my gear but yes there was a spot that was a shade darker.

Looks like your question has been answered but after owning both I would get a LSV and skip the SSV. The LSV can do anything the SSV can, the SSv can't do everything a LSV can do. Then again everyone needs two vapes, one for everyday use and a backup! :)

Aussie LSV user here, I love mine and you can get it in less than a week locally for about $250au. Works well with glass and can be used in a variety of configurations .
