my SiC dish didnt last long before what looks like peeling or some sort of degrading of the outter layer, I was wondering if its pure SiC or just coated aluminum? I see scratches from the provided Ti dab tool for sure, so avoid that on both the Sic and the quartz dish.

I had a question, Do I have to worry about the Ti dabbing tool scratching the SiC? I don't use it on quartz/glass ect for that reason, but im curious about the SiC.
Also how do I clean the Ti and SiC parts? Warm ISO soak?
