You always lose some of the alcohol in the process. Some of the EC will remain in the herb no matter how hard you press it. And the filters absorb some as well. Not to worry though, it's all accounted for in the recipe & you'll still recover enough to be useful.

Yes that's what I meant, straight weed. We're not very progressive, cannabis-wise, here in NY - so I make my own edibles. And, at least, I know what goes into them - & usually what to expect, strength wise .

My favorite (& easiest recipe) simply involves baking half a teaspoon (about 0.40g) of good flowers in cookie dough...and blasting off. Am I crude? Or is the Julia Child of Weed too hoity-toity? I know it's not very sophisticated but it works well, & quickly, even on a pretty full stomach...

I've yet to clean the bamboo on my EVO but I wouldn't use those red plugs. I'm pretty sure they'd leak. And from what I've read - be very careful not to overfill the bamboo, it doesn't hold much liquid. You certainly don't want any liquid to spill down into the electronics.
